Rice: security fence stifles Palestinain population
Jerusalem Post ^ | Nov. 14, 2003 | JPOST.COM STAFF

According to National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, the US administration has not yet decided whether fence-building costs will be deducted from US loan guarantees towards Israel.

Rice told reporters Thursday night that Israel's security fence "continues to be a problem" due to the hardships it poses "on the lives of ordinary Palestinains."

Although the US administration appreciates the changes that Israel has made at its request, the President has made clear – she continued – that his concept was of two coexisting states without a border.

Parts of the contended route include the route east of Ben Gurion International Airport, which has not been altered due to security concerns that aircraft making an easterly approach would be prone to missile attacks from Palestinian-held territories.

At least Bush is consistent on open borders. What is good for Isreal, in his view, is good for the United States.

good fences make good neighbors
The Palestinian terrorists are frustrated by a fence that keeps them from easily accessing
Israel children to kill..
And we act as though Israel has no such right in her own land to protect her children from
murderers
Kinda like our politicans allowing terrorists and illegal alien criminals free and open access to our nation
via wide open borders..

Good fences make good neighbors. I wonder if we can get a fence on our border? But then it may pose a hardship on the illegal aliens and possibly terrorists.

No, Condi got it wrong. The terrorism their culture breeds creates hardships for ordinary palestinians. No hatred, no terror, no territorial ambitions to destroy Israel and expel the Jews, no fence. Likely even a relatively friendly, transparent border.

Must be those "New World Order - vision thing" bedtime stories daddy used to tell were effective.

"Good fences make good neighbors."

Really?

What if we built our "fence" from say, Brownsville, Texas through Mexico City, Guadalajara, then Mazatlan, and back to San Diego, California.

Think Mexico would still be a "good neighbor"?

Security fence stifles Palestinain population

Uh, Dr. Rice? I think that's the whole point.

Get back to us when they take down the fence around the White House.

No, Ms. Rice, the fence does not stifle the Palestinian population. Arafat and the Palestine Authority stifle the population.

With your level of intelligence, how can you make such an obvious mistatement? Only uninformed dummies and leftists will accept your spin.

Traditionally one builds fences on one's OWN property.

I think they'd be better neighbors if we had a fence on the boarder, and the guest worker program was revived to maintain controlled access.

We get too many reports of out and out criminals sliping across, doing their bidness, and escaping back to their country.

Well, "good" in the sense that they're not sending over homocide bombers, yeah.

But I'm all in favor of a fence along our border.

Yes it will. And for a very good reason.

Yonif, even though you've previously called me a Jew-hater and other such nonsense, I agree with you here. Israel needs a fence. I'd like to further state I wish Israel would quite mucking about and turn their neighbors capitals to glass. That way, they (Israel + Egypt) could finally take their hands out of the US taxpayers pockets.

Build the fence, please.
