I really feel for Burr. I think he would be a good candidate and a conservative Senator for this state. God knows we need one. But the issue at hand is if NC will vote solidly enough Republican in the 2004 election to get Bush back in and help Burr win? Will those conservatives that were conned in 2002 to vote Republican forgive the RNC for their last foray into this state and vote for Burr?
