Cavuto's right. He's right about McCain being a media whore, and he's right about being up front with people.

I remember when I entered a large public high school after eight years of a small Catholic elementary school. I remember P.E., the locker room. The seniors on either side of me, a scrawny, little kid, young for my grade (13). I remember the taunts, I remember the snapping towels. If I knew then what I know now, I would have brought to school two items: a box of cayenne pepper, and a sock full of nickels. I would have taken out those two sadistic bastards. I would have been suspended for a week, been required to undergo counseling, and NOBODY would have looked sideways at me for the next four years.

Where did he say that? Here we go again with the vilification of McCain. There are many others in the Senate towards whom one should appropriately show disdain before showing it towards JM.

In 1976 my little town in western Arkansas had a rash of murders by a couple of jerks. I was 17 (geez, I'm aging myself) and carried a gun in my car like most all of us did as these two guys were on the loose.

One night I was coming home from taking my girlfriend to her house and I saw a bunch of bullies at the pizza joint across from my house picking on my younger brother. He was outnumbered and a wimp (he's still mostly a left wing liberal to this day) so I stopped to see what was going on.

Some drunk cowboy type (probably on steroids) was going to "kick his a$$" for telling his girlfriend, a good friend of my brother, that he saw the guy making out in Ft. Smith with some other girl. She needed some prodding to dump this guy since she once told him he slapped her around sometimes.

Anyway, I try to see what is going on and all the football jocks are prodding the guy to whoop him. I myself wasn't physically capable of fighting them but I was ticked when some jerk from my class said "it's none of your business". Why it was any of his wasn't explained.

So I went to the car, pulled out my pistol, walked over to them and pointed it and said, "okay, this stops or I pick one of you and shoot". They ignored me. I fired one shot into the air and they scattered. This created a commotion loud enough that my dad looked out from across the street. He's even smaller than I am (but I wouldn't cross him) and he came over and he trashed all those kids. He threatened them and said he was calling their fathers.

Then, to make his point even better, he yelled at me for pulling out the gun in front of them all. I got grounded for two weeks. But none of those jerks ever bothered us again. Also, two of them actually tried to "attack" my dad and he kicked their butts.

The funny part is when I went to college, this same guy that started it all was an RA in my dorm. This dorm was known for it's parties and I was once up on his floor and he actually told me that me pulling the gun and my dad throwing him over his truck made him realize he was a jerk. We became pretty good friends for a couple of years.

But I'm still plotting against all those other guys in my class that were messing with us to this day. Maybe that's why we haven't had a class reunion! ;-)
