Early in the afternoon on Monday, Nov. 10, I caught a promo that New York's WABC was running for its 5 p.m. local news broadcast. They were teasing a story about a major

I felt exactly the same way when this story was revealed. Filthy reporting tactic.

If the writer is a Freeper -- need to check out ownership of the local ABC channel. 'Nuff said on this public forum.

I know exactly what you mean. We have a tv station in RI that is doing the same thing all day. They say something like "school bus in head on collision - 8 children injured - details at 5". I think that is so irresponsible. And what really makes me mad is that people at that station must have kids, and know how awful that whole caption is. And especially not to name the town it occured in, is so cruel and unacceptable.

I try REAL hard not to watch local stations through the day for this reason.
Except Judge Judy.

The writer mentioned the 'local' station as WABC which is owned and operated by ABC as its flagship station. Technically it is not an affiliate but is owned outright by ABC.
