[history]
November 17, 2003 -- As blood flowed freely again this weekend in the War on Terror, this time in Turkey as well as Iraq, a new report in The Weekly Standard suggests that events there may not be unrelated. In fact, the report by Stephen Hayes - based on a top secret government memo - documents an even more profound linkage: between none other than Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

What will the Dems say now? According to Juan Williams on Fox Sunday Morning show .. these memo's don't prove a thing
I have to ask .. why are these Liberals so hell bent on defending these terrorists?
Why do they hate Republicans so much, that they will do anything and say anything to bring down President Bush at the expense of American lives?

What will the Dems say now? They don't have to say anything, since the story isn't being run by the mainstream (liberal) media.

And these people claim to be journalist seeking the truth?
Reminds me of the 1992 election and the complete blackout of the truth regarding the Clinton's

The American people have believed all along that there were ties between Saddam and Al Qaeda. Bush never told us there were, but we could see it.
This says that not only Bush was right, but the good people of this country were right too.

why are these Liberals so hell bent on defending these terrorists? It is indeed very puzzling. Liberals both in the press and those with whom I've communicated with about this memo say pretty much the same thing as Williams. Their minds are made up re: Dubya and the WOT. Information that upsets their applecart is not welcome.

I heard one pundit I had never seen before call it raw intelligence that hadn't been verified..Questionable.I take it this is the talking point on this subject from the Dems.

It's "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing.

WE knew about Salam Pak and the airplane used for hijack training immediately after 9/11, pictures and all.

I have to ask .. why are these Liberals so hell bent on defending these terrorists? Because it serves them politically to do so right now .....so they believe. Bill Clinton layed out the case (in '98) that Saddam had amassed a dangerous WMD arsenal and was a threat to the entire region, and the congressional Rats all agreed and gave him the go-ahead to take action. It's all politics, my friend. No consistency, no principle.

Yep, and fortunately most of us know that 2 + 2 = 4. Too bad it was too difficult for the media to figure out.

There's another message board I frequent that is somewhat bipartisan. One time one of those "emails from the front" was posted. It was full of good news, saying how things were going better than what was being reported. The veracity of it was brought into question, and it was amazing how the conservatives on the board were all saying things like "I hope it's true," and the liberals were all trying to cast doubt on its authenticity. I jumped on a couple of them, literally calling them fedayeen as they were obviously pulling for bad news in Iraq. This got them a little upset. One of them I haven't heard from since.
It really was amazing witnessing Americans rooting against the possibility of good news from the front. The reaction to this memo reminds me of that.

Amazing isn't it, that the CIA was castigated for not having the information before 9/11, and then when they do come up with this kind of information, the Dims won't believe it.
The Dims don't want the truth, they only want information that casts President Bush in the most negative light. They have gone beyond partisan politics in their frantic need to regain power.
I believe this was ushered in with and by the clintons and their ilk.
To: raisincane
This will all be under a huge microsope in Sept 2004 when the 2004 Pres Election kicks off in full swing. Everything comming out now will build up to that and the GOP convention.
Start making bullets for 9/11/04 and you see the pattern:
- Irag now under their own control
- Saddam Gone
- Osama/Saddam Link proven
- ETC.

We would want the same thing
But we would never do it at at the expense of American lives
This is not about politics ... This is about our lives and the lives of our children .. the future of this country
The Liberals and the Media are a complete disgrace to this country and disgusting IMO .. /rant>

We know from some board members there is good news. The deaths always hurt, there are loved ones behind every statistic in sorrow.
These men died for something, and I can't believe anyone would diminish or deny their accomplishments and service.
