Do you really blame this on Islam? Or would a LACK of faith anf understanding along with bigoted ignorance be a more apropreate place to put the blame? That is like blaming Slavery on Christianity! I don't, because there were many christians that abhored the practice, and there were some, ignorant of even the most basic tenents of the faith who used the church to promote and codone the barbaric practice.
