He was asked if his comment on MTP yesterday ("Iraq is a sideshow") was disrespectful of the troops giving their lives there.
Mandrake had a fit. Went off on a rant about how his patriotism canot be questined and that he "loved" the troops and he spent 34 years in the military, and that the interviewer was "twisting his words".
The interviewer remained cool and simply said "General I'm just repeating your words".
It isn't too hard to see why Mandrake was run out of the Pentagon. The guy is whacko. Link below.

If you want a guy to expand the war to Syria and Iran and the entire Middle East than Strangelove Clark is your man.

He may be crazy - but if he were placed in ancient China, he would equal a General Cao Cao

The guy's not only a liar, he's mentally unstable. No doubt Weasley Clark would send hundreds of thousands to their death if he had his hand on the keys. He'd be another Kim L Jung but with real nukes.

"Did anyone lese catch Mandrake blowing his top during that interview with FOX NEWS earlier today?"YES!! Totally inappropriate display of anger, IMHO! Like he was looking for "something" to go off on to make it look like he's a real "take-charge" type of guy...and not a wimp...hahaha good luck, We(a)sley!

someone clue me in "Mandrake" - where did that come from? I'm not sure either, but a couple of Mandrax would do this guy a world of good.

I saw it, David Asman was the interviewer this morning. Clark came in with an attitude like Fox was going to twist his words no matter what he said, and he was gonna get MAD and show THEM as biased, must have learned it at CNN. My husband says Clark is a snake, something evil about him. I think he's full of himself and doesn't act like a Rhodes scholar or a General is supposed to act... intelligent & perhaps dignified? He repeats rumors and the musings of sites like Strafor as fact. Not at all trustworthy and a liar to boot, but acts like he believes himself.
To: Az Joe
Russert:"General, what's your take on the whole Iraq situation?"Clark:[Clemenceau] said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids."

Mandrake had a fit.Actually, I think you're looking for General Jack D. Ripper, commander of Burpelson Air Force Base.
Mandrake was the British officer trying to gather up Ripper's marbles before he did something rash...

Isn't this consistent with the behavior reported previously by subordinates?
To: Poohbah
Not quite. I see him as more of a "Mandrake" character than a "Ripper". He's too much of an internationalist peacenik to be Ripper IMHO.
