I'm going to the in-laws in Florida for Christmas - will be the first time in a long time I didn't go to PA. Has anyone else noticed that sitcoms have been using Cleveland as the example of the worst place in America lately? Cleveland really has improved so much in recent years. I grew up there when the place was really bad. Much improved now.

BTW, just how bad is Pittsburgh? My daughter has an opportunity to go to college there ...should i be scared?

How bad is Pittsburgh? Not bad at all. Whether you're referring to crime or pollution or cost-of-living or whatever, it's a nice, average, city . . . in a lot of ways, it's like an overgrown small town.

Navigation is a minor nightmare because, given the hills and rivers, routes are circuitous and sometimes you just can't get there from here.
