IDF forces exposed tunnels in Rafah for smuggling weapons from Egypt to the Gaza Strip overnight Monday. One soldier was lightly wounded when Palestinians opened fire on the force.

Palestinians also threw grenades at the troops who returned fire. Palestinian sources report 7 Palestinians wounded and some houses demolished in the Rafah refugee camp.

An anti-tank missile was also fired at a convoy leaving the Netzarim settlement in Northern Gaza, and a mine was detonated as an IDF patrol passed by the Erez barrier. No casualties or damage were reported in either occurrence.

In Judea and Samaria 6 fugitives were arrested overnight - 4 in Tulkarm and 2 west of Hebron.

The two Palestinians arrested in the town of Idna by Hebron police were suspected of arms dealing. Searches, prompted by intelligence received, disclosed an AK-47 assault rifle, a silencer and magazines.

Meanwhile, IDF forces were also fired upon, and an explosive device was detonated nearby soldiers in Tulkarm. No casualties were reported.
