You offered (wisely, perhaps presciently), "Don't be suprised if this isn't the last leak." I'm convinced that there are at least two things driving these leaks of dem strategery and dem corrupted functioning as 'legislators': 1) the clintons are akeeping things stirred up in the DNC which their McAwful doll is still trying to direct for hatellary's benefit, long term; 2) there are faithful democrats who detest the corruption of the once great party of liberal causes ... the clintonization of the democrat party has thoroughly corrupted the representation nature of the party into the oligarchy of the democrats, a most pernicious and deadly mutation for the party's survival.
The leadership of the democrat party are a distant shadow of patriotic AMericans, a close cousin now to the totalitarians and societal engineers of the last century. Is there that much difference in the Islamicists and the current democrat party leadership? Both are firmly committed to the ends justify the means!

It looks like the last two pages came from someone whose username is Manuel Miranda. Look at the bottom of pages 29 and 30.

I have a question. ive only read a portion of this memo its taking forever!! now that the memo has been exposed do the people have a remedy? can this memo be used in a construtive way to put an end to all this ? these senators are all terrible and the way they've been treating the nominee's is way,way , over the top,and shows me how over the line they have gone and they must be stopped.

It seems that he is not the only leaker growing a conscience. Who leaked the other memo to Sean Hannity , the national security one?
This is very good news.

I quickly glanced at the pdf file. There is some damning evidence here. At the very least, this justifies recess appointments.
I'm a little uncomfortable that the name Kennedy was handwritten in on several of the memos. Is there a chance that some or all of this was planted by the dems?

There are certainly a couple of options on the table.
First, I think an investigation is in order. Sen. Sessions heads up the Courts subcommittee on the Senate Judiciary Committee and I think that at the very least, the Sixth Circuit nominee situation should be investiaged to see if, in fact, cases were pushed through (and nominees were delayed) to fulfill a specific agenda.
Second, regarding the issue of judicial nominations as a whole, I think a starting point is Frist-Miller, which would change the cloture vote requirement so that nominees could actually get to an up or down vote. But that too, unfortunately, would be filibustered.
Third, there is the nuclear option which would actually change parlimentary procedure. But the Republicans are about 5 votes short (Collins, Chafee, Snowe, McCain and Nickles).
So what the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary is going to do is go out into the states and challenge Senate candidates to actually take an oath to support a fair and simple up or down for for all nominees -- called the Fair Judiciary Oath. Should be launched soon. It will provide voters with an opportunity to see who the obstructionists would be once elected and who embraces the Constitution.

Every Senator has an office -- separate and apart from the office that houses staff -- in the basement of the Capitol somewhere that they call the "hideaways." Very small, but places to hold quiet meetings right off the floor, place phone calls or just rest and not be bugged by staff all the time. Most staffers don't even know where their boss' hideaways are.

on page eleven there talking about Durbin getting caught up to speed since he couldnt meet with them in thier secret hidaway?????"Hideaway" is Senate vernacular for the Senators' little cubbyhole offices over in the Capitol Building. Once upon a time, the Capitol Building housed the entire House, entire Senate, their (tiny) staffs, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. That's why it is so big. There were no other congressional office buildings on the Hill.
Gradually everybody moved across the street to the various Capitol complex buildings. That left empty space in the Capitol itself, which tended to fill up with the ever-growing staff. The Senators decided to allocate a chunk of the space on their side to private little hidey-holes where they can get away from the hustle and bustle. Rather a good idea, IMHO; ranting aside, the time and people pressures on these guys is excessive.
The House doesn't have hideaways because there is no way to make room for all 435 of them, although various ranking types do have offices in the Capitol.

I presume these memos were all obtained thru legal means - no hacking of computers or anything nefarious like that. Which begs the question: if these were secret memos stored on a restricted computer, then how would Republicans know of their existence in order to steal them in the first place?
It's probably a disgruntled or disillusioned Democrat staffer.
