BURLINGAME, Calif. (AP) - In his run for Congress, friends have advised Maad Abu-Ghazalah to change his name. Get rid of "Abu" because it will remind people of Osama bin Laden, they've told him. But Abu-Ghazalah can't imagine doing that, and his full name - alongside a picture of the Statue of Liberty - remains on the red, white and blue signs stacked in his campaign headquarters for this Bay Area district.

Who are these "advocates"? I don't think any muslims will be winning many elections in the near future.

Call me whatever names you'd like, but I will NOT vote for a muslim. Ever.

Their numbers would be larger if they didn't lose more potential candidates to more explosive forms of political expression.

There is a 20-50 year plan to take over western governments via election of muslims. Victory through immigration. Mexicans did it in California. Muslims are affecting policy in various countries in Europe through organized voting. Politians are afraid to vote measures against their interests for fear of losing the next election. Look at this country's fear of immigration issues. Anybody got a good plan for this??

I agree. I won't vote for a Muslim either. Are they trying to infiltrate our government so they can get some of their extremist views into law?
I certainly hope NO American votes for a Muslim.

"People have to get accustomed to seeing a name like that on their ballot," he said.
That way they'll be used to it when we force their wives into burquas.

The Mexican thing is a wake up call. Fight fire with fire. Drop most of the stupid party crap and organize. Vote as one. Seal our borders against illegals. See the Muslim culture for what it is rather than this strength through diversity BS. Educate our children properly and never, never let them or anyone else forget whose blood bought the freedoms we are currently so disregardful of. We need strong leaders who are not afraid of small defeats in the pursuit of ultimate victory.

I sure HOPE I see names like that on the ballots - so I know for certain where NOT to cast a vote.
I don't care if he/she/it comes with the GOP and Ronald Reagan stamps of approval - got mooselim name? Not got my vote. If it were a field of two with one a muslim and the other Al Sharpton I'd vote Sharpton over a Muslim!

This particular guy may be OK. But as a matter of precedent and principle I would vote against him.
Thanks, but no thanks.

P.S. I had to do a search, even after reading the article, to confirm a fact hidden at the very end:
"Abu-Ghazalah, a Democrat."

The Muslim worldview is antithetical to the American political system. Some would love to use the American system as a trojan horse to assume power and eventually gut this nation. Thats a no-no.

its true-muslims are coming to the U.S.A. to do one thing convert us to islam or kill us,they don't care which.why is it that they can do what they want, kill, rape, torture and steal.and they call us the infidels, maybe some muslims don't kill or rape, but they allow it to happen, their religion tells them its ok.the only vote muslims get from me is to get them out of our country.this is a country with millions and millions of Chritians and they hate them too.
