And then, when the person that refuses to use a SS number and submit to FICA withholding is old and sick, they then use the system to pay for their medical assistance. I know this happens based on a personal acquaintance.
It won't be an issue in twenty years, anyway, as the system should be fully flat on its a$$. It will be a needs-based (welfare) program by that point, if it exists at all.
But the article seems to suggest this as a way of evading taxation, or am I reading between the lines too much?
