The IBDA-C terror organization, which has claimed responsibility for the double bombings in Istanbul on Thursday and the attacks on two of the city's synagogues last Saturday, wished "Dirty Jews a peaceful Shabbat," in an communique released following the attacks on the British Consulate and the HSBC Bank.
The communique, released on Channel 2 News Thursday night, blamed the Jews for destroying Islamic society, saying they have poisoned Muslim culture with corruption and prostitution.
At least 27 people were killed and 450 were wounded Thursday after suicide bombers in trucks packed with explosives blew up near the high-rise headquarters of the London-based HSBC bank and the British consulate in northern Istanbul.
Last Saturday, twin car bombs exploded outside the Neveh Shalom and Beth Israel synagogues in Istanbul. 23 people, including six Jews, were killed and more than 277 were wounded.
The organization threatened the life of Turkish Chief Rabbi Ishak Haleva. saying they look forward to eating Halva, customarily eaten by Muslims after one dies, following his funeral.
Executive Vice President of the Turkish Jewish Community Lina Filiba had not heard of the IBDA-C threat against the chief rabbi but gasped when she heard of it from the Jerusalem Post by telephone.
Filiba said she is not surprised that extremist groups like the IBDA-C are anti-Semitic, but emphasized that they do not represent the larger Turkish community.
"We are not downplaying it, but on the whole the majority of the country, the wide majority of the country does not have this kind of misinterpretation. There is anti-Semitism in all societies," Filiba said.
According to media reports, IBDA-C, known to be a secretive organization, aims to found an Islamic state in Turkey and has adopted a conduct of armed resistance to achieve this goal.
The announcement said that Turkish intelligence was in shock following last Saturday's attacks when it realized that the terror organization was still operating and was capable of such destruction.

Note that this isn't about Israel. Palestine is never mentioned. This is all about plain, old-fashioned hatred of Jews.

How do you think they feel about gay marriage? What in the world does this have to do with threats made to the Jewish community in Turkey and elsewhere. What does this question have to do with anti-Semitism and it's rise worldwide.

The question referred to the statement that the Jews were responsible for corrupting the muslim world. I was just asking rhetorically how the islamofacists must feel about their leftist comrades support of gay marriage. Maybe one of the leftist morons in London today could ask one of the islamofacists they were marching with.

Now that Turkey realizes its in the front lines in the war on terror (what I call World War IV, WWIII was the Cold War, during which time Turkey put itself firmly on the winning side), I wonder how it will proceed. Will Turkey finally join the coalition and send troops to Iraq (and elsewhere in the Muslim world), where needed?

With this activity, your terrorists have also become our terrorists. Trouble is that our terrorists are still alive and well under your protection. Stick that in your intern and smoke it.

Really? The PKK was involved? You can provide ties between IBDA-C and PKK? Are we protecting IBDA-C and Al Qaida in Iraq? Is the AKP more likely to protect Islamic extremists in their own party, or do you think the US is?
Your enemy exists within Turkey's borders and call themselves Turks.
Find your own intern to plug.

Good. Protect the PKK. Maintain and preserve the status quo.

US troops 'clash' with PKK rebels
BBC ^
Posted on 11/10/2003 8:12 AM EST by Dave Elias
US troops 'clash' with PKK rebels American troops have clashed with Turkish Kurd rebels based in northern Iraq, the Turkish authorities say. Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said the clashes between US forces and PKK rebels took place on Sunday.
His comments followed Turkish media reports that an Iraqi Kurd was killed when PKK rebels fired on US troops and Iraqi Kurdish fighters.
The US-led coalition press office in Baghdad confirmed there had been an incident, but gave no details.
Action plan
Mr Gul, speaking to reporters in Ankara before leaving for a visit to Rome, said there were clashes involving US troops, Iraqi Kurdish fighters and the PKK.
He said some US helicopters were also sent.
Last month, Sunday's are the first known clashes between US forces and PKK rebels. Turkey and the US agreed on an action plan to eradicate the PKK, which is thought to have around 5,000 members living in northern Iraq.
Details of the plan have not been released, but a US official said at the time that any military action would be carried out by US troops.
Ever since the US occupied Iraq, Turkey has been pressing Washington to take action against the group, which both countries designate as terrorist.
Refuge
Turkey and the PKK fought a bitter war for more than a decade.
More than 30,000 people were killed, and over a million displaced from their homes - largely in the predominantly Kurdish south-eastern part of the country.
The PKK have long sought refuge from Turkish troops in the mountains of northern Iraq.
