I love FreeRepublic. I admire all the work which went into the presentation here and believe the readers and writers here have freedom to state their opinions.

Am I the only FreeRepublic member who is really disturbed by the display of hostility?

You can posit all the theorems you wish and wax poetic with all your disgust and crude asides, but the fact remains these are humans who exist in our world.

Regardless of the ridiculous claims that homosexuals can be "changed" - work in my profession also indicates this is impossible and you wish them to live a lie to please your own personal beliefs.

I realize I am offending some when I beg some of your readers to abstain from such activism against a minority group, especially the hate I see growing.

Stop misrepresenting what we've said here. There is no hatred towards homosexuals no matter how hard you try to spin it.

There are minute populations of people with other paraphilic disorders too, should we line up all the "animal lovers" and shoot them too?

The answer is to treat them them with therapy, cognitive/behavioral therapy to be specific. Can they get that from any APA member shrink or psychologist? No, because they would be sanctioned.

Is religious based therapy as effective as modern cognitive/behavioral therapy? No, but guess what, it works for some no matter how much you poo-poo their REAL results.

Now that Spitzer and Perlhoff are calling for the APA's to once again allow treatment for homosexual patients you'll see a change in the effectiveness of reparative therapy and then your little homosexual agenda temper tantrum will explode in your face.
