It really tells you something about AP that they decline to mention that the "accusers" are a communist front.

I'm reading Bernard Goldberg's new book, Arrogance. He has a lot of insightful commentary on why journalists report the way they do.

"Believe that Horowitz also exposed them in Radical Son."

He does. 'Radical Son' should be on required reading for high school students - and college, if they missed it.

Could happen; after 'pigs fly' of course. . .

That these people had 'legs' to walk home on, is a testament to the restraint of Miami Police and even the good citizens who witnessed this.

I was given a copy of that book by a liberal neighbor, strangely. She works in a bookstore, though, and could get it cheaply, I guess.

I haven't read it yet, since I thought it would just get me steamed, perhaps I'll give it a try, though.

Unions served a purpose. That purpose is done. There are now laws in place to prevent the abuses they are there for. The roles of unions and workers has reversed. Unions were designed to represent their constituancy. Now, the workers are there to serve the union. That's a problem. Unions should be stopped whereever they are.

I was working with someone for a day who nearly was fired because he dared to pick up a hard drive and "transport" it from one cube to the next cube. That was a union job and he wasn't supposed to do that. He didn't pick up a monitor or a system, just a hard drive that a union worker delivered to the wrong cube. And he was nearly fired for violating rules dealing with the union. The customer was down and he was trying to make it work. This is a DEFINATE problem in our society. I know that there are companies that have to hire 3 people to do the job of one because they have to have two people to do it, and a third available only as a backup.

Talk about jumping to conclusions! Did you bother to read what I said? Apparently not.

1) Unions are obsolete

2) Unions undermine our economy

3)Unions diminish productivity and hinder innovation

Got a problem with that? Let's discuss these points and stop with the fantasy name-calling - that makes me suspect you are unionist yourself...

Let's see, so computer programmers are minimum wage low skilled laborers? not

Apparently yup! When there are millions of programmers and they work better and cheaper than Americans then why should't private enterprise hire abroad? The answer is clear.

45% percent of the police.....

I think you can go 100% with the police. I don't know of a one that isn't a member of the FOP.

I was going by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. Not all it seems are in unions. I guess it is the local small town police that make up the difference.

1) Unions are obsolete 2) Unions undermine our economy 3)Unions diminish productivity and hinder innovation.

Only 8.2% percent of our entire private workforce in the United States belong to unions. How can you possible draw those conclusions based on that?

You are simply anti-union and there is no reasoning with a zealot like you.

I saw a TV show on Sunday morning showing an environmental protest. The majority of the people there had no clue about the "issue." I guess they just figured it would be fun to protest something. An interviewer actually got hundreds of people to sign a petition banning "dihydrogen monoxide," stating it is a chemical used in the creation of many products today including baby formula, and showing up in our urine and sweat. The rivers and streams of the US are filled with it.

Wow. Hundreds of people signed a petition to ban WATER. H2O (dihydrogen monoxide)!

There are just some people who get their jollies out of protesting.

"We were just standing there, totally peacefully," she said. "I was honestly looking this guy in the eye with a peace sign, and then all of a sudden, boom. There was no provocation."

Ummm....Except for that jug full of gasoline and the bag of lead pipes.

Whatever happened to the Seattle Police Chief who allowed these punks to riot to their hearts' content?

Thr simple fact that these punks still have teeth tells me they the cops didn't over-react enough.

The cops did a lot of bone-crunching during the pro-life sit-in demonstrations in the 80's and 90's. Be careful what you wish for; you might get it. Let cops beat folks up, and before you know it, they'll be beating you over a parking ticket.

I just finished reading Arrogance. While not as good as Ann Coulter, it was quite informative, and didn't leave me steamed or anything. Probably because I've been aware of the media bias and their tactics every since the mid-80s, when I became a news junky, and Mr. Goldberg's book merely reinforced what I already knew.
