If they are unable to apologize, then they might, at least, consider a public release that says they were WRONG. And they might especially point out that any demeaning characterizations were also WRONG!
That will provide just as much healing as an apology, and it will show the integrity of our special forces.

I agree, Chaplain. What's the harm in doing this, and why the hold-up?

X this is so heartbreaking! My brother, a career officer, was also misdiagnosed by Army doctors and forced to retire. He went through hell with the doctors; then, it took five years to work through the medical and pay issues. When you are sick - you hardly have the strength to deal with the powers that be to be compensated properly. My heart goes out to this family and I pray the Lord will comfort them.
