ANKARA - Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan of Armenia telephoned Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul late on Saturday, and condemned recent terrorist attacks in Istanbul which claimed 53 lives in the aggregate.

During the telephone conversation, Oskanyan said that they were ready to extend support to Turkey in fight against terrorism.

Suicide bombers detonated explosives-laden pickup trucks in front of two synagogues, a bank and the British Consulate General in Istanbul on November 15 and 20, killing 53 people and wounding hundreds of others.

Good posting, yonif.

I'm always glad to see former antagonists extend the hand of sympathy to each other in a time of sorrow.

I know that Armenia had assisted Turkey when they had a devastating quake a few years ago; they, too, had suffered from that terrible quake in Armenia during the 90s and had some expertise and empathy for their situation.
