But I do not agree with trying him in the media.

I'll second that. If he's not guilty, then he's not guilty. If he's not guilty, then a lot of people owe him an apology.

But if he is guilty, I don't see the benefit of putting him only a few years in prison, then setting him free to strike again. Either give him a life sentence or execute him. That may sound extreme, but it's been shown that pedophiles can't be rehabilitated.

Let me add an addendum to my post.

I know he couldn't get a life sentence or the death penalty under current law. So I should say that I think that the law should give a life sentence or the death penalty to pedophiles.
