It appears to me that M.J. may have problems with this "secret tape." While the company may have taped these conversations -- there is an issue of whether the conversations themselves were held in secret. If any other persons could hear them, then they are not confidential or secret. Also the D.A. may have requested the company to video all conversations on the plane as part of its investigation.
In short, there will most likely be a very lively hearing pretty soon with a judge viewing to these tapes in camera.

Wouldn't it be just if the FBI were taping Geragos for obstruction of justice going back years ?

"Michael Jackson is not going to be abused. Michael Jackson is not going to be slammed, is not going to be a pinata for every person who has financial motives," Geragos said. Oh, yes, a 45 year old man sleeping with little boys, so perfectly normal, he is just being slammed for financial motives.... NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A tabloid reported that Jacko went crazy on the flight, demanding diversion to South America, etc. If true, any tapes of his ride would make for interesting viewing.
Pass the popcorn.

"We explored the opportunity as any business person would." Riiiight. Every businessperson would try to sell video tapes of his own clients.
Meanwhile, detectives with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department have searched the Beverly Hills office of a private detective hired by Jackson, as well as the home of Jackson's videographer, CNN has learned.
According to at least one site on the net, Anthony Pellicano's office is in Beverly Hills. Could it be his?

I hope it's better than that lame Paris Hilton tape.

Since I suspect the taping is a false issue, meant to detract,I searched XtraJet.
Following the chain:
XtraJet
American Air Network
Elite Flight
FLYJETS
CARCORP
Carcorp is in reality a car loan business.
As in "Title Loans of America",which is owned by a guy named Malnik.
Malnik is the mob.
Malnik is in with some Sauids.
Micheal Jackson is in with the mob,Malnik and the Saudis.
So, I'm posing the question,is CARCORP related to Malnik?
If it is, then the taping was done by friendlies, not Jackos enemies.
The only part I cant find yet is who or what owns CARCORP.

Can you say "Red Herring"??? Does anyone else recall the breathless reports about the supposed videotape of a "red-faced, angry, out-of-control" Bill Clinton at his Grand Jury testimony? Remember that the media built this up to a big story for a couple of days, and then we got to see the tapes - showing a very much in-control, calm and reasonable Clinton.
Same thing is going to happen here.
When you have enough money, fame, and/or power, you can make all sorts of things happen.

Oh this is just too much fun already. Mark Geragos has his nerve suggesting other people are in this "for the money". He must be concerned there won't be all those millions left for his salary... PS...Jim..
thank you so much for the spell check!!sw

At this point I believe the whole taping incident is staged by Geragos as a distraction and to provide him with an excuse for a press conference and get his face into every home.
Weren't there rumors that Geragos defended Susan McDougall in exchange for sex?

More likely Geragos leaked the story of the upset MJ wanting to fly to South America, then followed it up with these tapes of his calmness himself.

No, Mr. XtraJet Person, not all business people would explore what you call an opportunity.

I smell some Clintonism here. Remember all the leaks (spread by the Clintons of course) in 1999 about BC's grand jury testimony video? The rumor was that his behavior was damaging and he got all flustered and angry at the grand jury. Tape is finally shown and voila! Nothing of the sort happened. Made the impeachment crowd look stupid.
I think there's the possibility that Geragos and Jackson either arranged to have the tape made, or, knowing that they were being taped (probably said so in the charter agreement), leaked the rumor that Michael was throwing fits on the plane to make him seem perfectly normal later and further blur the central issue.

Oh man, just picture it....a Michael Jackson pinata!

I am suspicisous of the Jackson team and lawyers putting the cameras in. Remember all the delaying when he would return. It was the next day he returned. They are smart people, then they could use the expose' as they are doing?
Food for thought. This was my first reaction to the episode.

"Michael Jackson is not going to be abused. Michael Jackson is not going to be slammed, is not going to be a pinata for every person who has financial motives," Geragos said. I somehow doubt this company is just interested in money. Some people might actually hope that once and for all someone does something about this man.
