Interesting point. It does slap saddam in the face to have Bush in Bahgdad and Saddam and his loyalists scurrying in the dark. ....
It's great for the troops (and the faithful VRWC) but it really is a message to the terrorists. Our President can go anywhere he wants. And, he can carry a current newspaper with him.

Just what I was getting at in the post right above yours. There have been stories about how the escalating violence was emboldening others to join in the 'resistance' (read: terrorist groups).
Bush just squashed that.
And that will save American lives.
