I had never visited DU before, so I decided to drop in and see them in agony.

You should have seen them just after the 2002 elections last year. Going into the elections the DUmmies were gloating about how the Republican would loses lots of seats in Senate and House plus Jeb Bush would be defeated. After the Republicans made their gains (and Jeb re-elected by landslide), they had a collective mental meltdown on the DUmmie site and actually had to shut down for a few days to recuperate. It was HILARIOUS to watch.

And they will suffer even worse next hear when "Chimpy" (their term) wins re-election in a landslide. Look for them ro go completely off the deep end next year.

I really need a karmic hug

Does anyone else?

Please tell me that no matter wha-- we still love each other---the way the freepers never can/will.

Oh please sweet Jesus please say we do. I am hurting so bad.
I know I'll be better once I sober up but goddess, I really believed we'd do better than this.

You don't have to go to DU for comments. Just take a gander at the last paragraph of this AP story "quoting" troops trying to leave the airport after the Presidents visit. -

"But other soldiers grew angry that their departure from the airport was delayed for an hour, while they waited for Air Force One to depart. Finding the door barred, about 50 troops got into a shouting match with the soldier blocking their exit. The streets of Baghdad were too dangerous to delay their departure any longer, they shouted.

"Do you have any idea how many IEDs are on this road?" one soldier shouted, referring to improvised explosive devices or roadside bombs. "I have to get back to my base. I don't want to lose a soldier because the president wants us to sit here."

Sounds fishy to me.
