US capitalism is as dynamic as ever. Unfortunately most of that effort has recently been directed towards bilking as many ordinary citizens as is humanly possible.

Hey EuroFag, British women are the ugliest women in all the Industrialized 1st world countries (Or in Britain's case, second and a half world countries.)

Please, I know that you are angry at this guy, with good reason. However, please don't insult a lot of good Brits, some of whom are Freepers.

I thank God daily that I'm an American, you effete Limey.

Why is this excerpted? It is not from the LA Times, the Washington Post or the Onion. Your link takes us to a registration page for the FT. Do you work for them or something?

Euro socialists are in a terrifying place. Their "comrads in arms" the communists are gone, and the socialists are disapearing onto the ashheap of history. They hate the USA because they see the USA as an impediment to the domination of socialism in the world. (not unlike the Islamofacists hate the USA for blocking their theocracy taking over the world)
Without socialism, they may have to actually work. Without socialism, their idle chatter in cafe's and coffee bars will require actual action.
It is the difference between United States action in the world and the chirping chatter of French diplomating words to achieve containment.
Capitalism works well, socialism fails at every turn. Socialists know this and they hate it.

I don't take one opinion as the opinion of all.

I don't know about that. I've seen some stuningly beautiful English women when I was working there for two years.

It beats me why the Financial Times would be so anti-American. Recently they have been almost as bad as the Guardian and the Independent. Are the folks who read it really turned on by this left-wing junk?

This writer should speak for himself. Most Brits don't share his pea brained opinions anyway.

The financial times is probably upset that the US has clobbered the recession ladden EU zone. While we are comming out of recession and are into a full blown recovery, soon to be bull market, the EU is giving deficit passes to the French and Germans. The euro is caught up in an enron style accounting scandal, exposing weakness in the currency.
There is also a high likelyhood of the absurd euro constitution being scrapped. English politicians are also openly talking about pulling out of the EU and UNHEARD of possibility only a few short years ago.
Not exactly a cheerful world for the FT.
To: Pubbie
Yeah, you shouldn`t call British women ugly. The women and the men are both equally ugly.

I like the way the stewardesses on British Air say "toggle" when demonstrating the use of life vests. There are a lot of top-shelf Brits.

I cancelled the nasty rag (FT) along with Barons and another economic publication. They have gone from the business of business into the business of Bush bashing.
I'm a classical liberal and refuse to follow this socialist line into the ground.
I think it was Horowitz on Boortz who said that a liberal believes you can have sex and drugs with anyone or anything, but has to have control over everything else that you do from what you eat to where you live to what you think.
He's deadon.

What kind of publication with a name like The Financial Times belittles "capitalism"?
Weird.
