It was nice and garish just like we like it.

Best celebration though was at the Senior Bowl last year. The performer had trouble with her mike and had to start over. After three attempts, the crowd joined in and sang the National Anthem and cheered her on. Loudest I've ever heard it.

And the Atlanta Falcons cheer leaders were there as well. Oh yea!

Just a big old star-spangled, very patriotic halftime show during the Dolphins/Cowboys game. A really great show, and it brought a tear to the eye of my usually stoic husband.

Toby Keith sang "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" while video showed of the Cowboys cheerleaders in Iraq, people working at a shelter, lots of flag-waving. Let's see - also a giant American flag and an enormous paper-mache eagle.

This is quite unusual for Commie Broadcast System... I heard they had Michael Jackson and R. Kelly all lined up to sing their new song "kid feel" but what happened?

The rat announcers didn't know what to say. Time to clean out the NFL announcer core and hire some men.

Toby Keith emerged when a giant Salation Army tent peeled off in the middle of the field and sang a medley (3 or 4) of his tunes finishing with Red, White and Blue. The "boot in their ass" line was barely heard and he was in a long shot at the time and during most of that particular song. There was plenty of belly button dancers around the field and he had a horn section behind him. The visuals were great but the sound of it all wasn't particularly good, the crowd was noisy and sound mixing (or miking, I dunno) atrocious.

Dang, I missed it. But I'm sure it was a helluva lot better than the halftime "entertainment" at the Lions/Packers game earlier today. That was painful.

Where were the libs cries of censorship when ABC refused to allow Toby to sing Courtesy of the Red White and Blue on their special?

Never have I cried during a half-time show....tears of joy at what I was watching.......I was so proud of the response of this crowd that all I did was stand and cheer myself. I kept yelling for everyone to come watch as it's not likely we will see this again in quite a while (although I would hope a trend may have started today)..For those who didn't see this Toby Keith sang and the entire audience seemed to be cheering him on...he sang the song that Peter Jennings refused to be sung on his special a while back. The crowd was with him to the point that they cheered through the entire song..it reminded me of after 9-11 when everyone seemed to be together with their feelings ..it was nice to see this happen today...especially after watching President Bush and his great visit to the troops!! Happy Thanksgiving to all and may we all remember our troops and give special thanks for a President who makes us proud to be an American..........
