We've had some updates which came in after we had our newly updated list ready to go:

From boxerblues:
"Texokie "
"Thank you for asking about my son and for the prayer thread. "
"My son is doing fine a little home sick but his injuries have healed. He hopes to have R&R sometime this month. What a great Christmas present if he could get home in time for the holidays. "

From TruthNTegrity:

"I think it's time for some updates on my prayer requests."

"TruthNtegrity - lurker friend Pat’s nephew Ben (Marines) Kuwait and his mother Tracy.
Ben has been home since mid-October, back at Camp LeJeune. He has been told he might be shipped back in June 2004 - part of the sending in more ground troops. "

"~ TruthNtegrity- younger brother, John (Navy), has been deployed, and his family.
John has returned home and retired from the Navy in a marvelous ceremony in Dam Neck, VA on Oct. 3. Please pray for post-retirement employment.
~TruthNtegrity-Ensign Andy, US Navy - my cousin's son,
pilot LTC Andrew has returned, seen his newborn son and is undergoing some additonal training; He expects to be redeployed as part of the Navy group going back in Summer 204. Marine Keith is still in Iraq. An ironworker - he is helping rebuid schools and hospitals. "

"New prayer request from mystery-ak and TruthNtegrity: for Sgt. Santos in Walter Reed hospital, recovering from wounds suffered when his Chinook was shot down by a SAM on Nov. 2. Also pray for complete healing so he passes his fitness quals. He wants to remain in the Army and return to Iraq. "

"Thanks to all for their prayers. "

Confident that when this list is mentioned in prayer, our Heavenly Father knows each name. Continuing in prayer and giving thanks for them, and all of our military people. God bless, guide, and protect them and their families. God bless our president, his family, and all of America. Good prevail.

Thank you again for this much needed thread. Our troops and their families so need us to give up just a LITTLE of our time to pray, to care, to let them know that this country is worth their sacrifice.

I have another prayer request.

When I was waiting for Sgt. Gerald Santos to return from physical therapy, I met the two others in the room. It turns out that one of them was on the Chinook that was shot down on Nov. 2. He was headed "home" for two weeks of R&R. Ricardo Diaz has serious head injuries and was Medivac'd to a Minnesota VA Hospital that specializes in brain injuries. He doesn't remember anything about the accident and only remembers waking up in Walter Reed.

The day he was supposed to leave, he had to return as there was something wrong with the plane. Now you can imagine (or maybe not) the feelings he was having, after being shot down and then delayed on a flight due to mechanical problems. I offered to pray with him, for a safe journey, and for healing at this new facility, and he gladly accepted.

Please keep this wonderful guy in your prayers. His family is in Oklahoma, so once again he will be where there are no friends or family to visit. I am praying that he gets a better social worker there than he did at Walter Reed, and that he gets one who will go to the Red Cross office and get clothes and other items for him. I have already mailed some prepaid phonecards, that I was given, to him.

Godspeed, Ric Diaz.
