No, it's you guys who have been so willing to compromise because you were afraid of what was to come next, who are their best friends. You are buying their rhetoric about taking a principled stand on anything

Huh? All I am saying is that it is better to have Bush running the show than Schumer/Feinstein.

Whatever Ray, sorry to say with your rhetoric you turn off people and don't gain sympathy within the general populace. Look people are for people owning firearms, but aren't to keen to people having automatic machine guns etc.etc. There is a delicate balance, those are the facts. That is the reality and I find your rhetoric of chucking out a political party you may agree with 50% for one you agree may agree with 10% somewhat perplexing.

Look at it this way. After years of being single you meet 2 women. You find that the first one cheats on you every day, steals from you every day, and kicks your dog every day.

The next gal is aware that you don't like a women who cheats, steals, or kicks your dog. So you start to date her and then you find out that she does indeed cheat on you every other day, steals from you every third day, and kicks your dog once a week. Damn, she is even better looking

Now what do you do? Do you dump her? She's better you know. Do you put up with someone who is less evil or do you dump this one too?

Dane, you need to study the AWB more. It's not about automatic machine guns. In the name of incrementalism, you are being lured into standing on the opposition's ground and using their selling points.

There are principles so deeply woven into the fabric of liberty that you cannot violate them without ripping the entire pattern. For me, the 2nd amendment and abortion are the two lines in the sand. I will not vote for any candidate that waivers on either issue.

It's not about beating chests, any more than what Patrick Henry said and did was about beating chests. The basic issues and similarities in principle between then and now are remarkably similar. The continued assault upon those principles is already shredding our way of life and our freedom, its just being done in a way that most people will notrecognize it until it all falls apart IMHO.

I'm 100% with Ray on this.

Best Fregards.
