Bimbos Portray Bush As A 'Bozo'
CNSNEWS.com ^ | 12/03/03 | Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - A group of women in southeastern Michigan say they'll use pictures of scantily-clad "babes" in an effort to "smash" George W. Bush's re-election hopes.

"Babes Against Bush," as the group calls itself, plans to use pinup girls as the medium for its anti-Bush message.

"Babes Against Bush has created a liberal-leaning campaign to promote political awareness in the most unlikely of audiences - men whose cultural tastes tend towards centerfolds and the swimsuit issue of sports magazines," the group said in a press release.

"We figured that this was a good, fun way to make people aware of the damage George Bush is doing to America," said Babes Against Bush model Eleanor Vast-Binder. "Guys like hot girls. So maybe they wouldn't mind getting the message from us."

The group is offering what it calls a "Regime Change Countdown Calendar," which ticks off the days until Inauguration Day 2005, when the group hopes Bush will be displaced by "an actual elected president."

The calendar features thirteen photos of provocatively dressed/undressed models, but it is also a "chronology of the Bush administration's misdeeds, mistakes, and manglings of the truth," the group said.

"What better way is there to get guys to notice that the president is a bozo?" commented January "babe" Vast-Binder. "Pictures of the girls will get their attention -- and they'll look long enough to read the fine print."

"You don't have to be beautiful to hate George W. Bush," the group's website says.

"We feel that the United States is about to embark on a foolish, costly campaign against a paper-tiger dictator," says fuckthewar.com spokesman David Livingstone. "In our opinion, this war amounts to nothing more than a neo-colonialist gambit by George W. Bush. There seems to be no length he will not go to in order to distract people from the disastrous social effects of his domestic policy and to secure the free flow of petroleum dollars into the pockets of his energy industry pals.

Yea, they must be using a strange definition of 'babes,' or something - 'barely passable in looks with a negative demeanor.'

Naw, they hired them to vote in Michigan, but made them pose for photos to get the whole $50. The back of their T-shirts state "I voted Democratic and all I got was this lousy T-shirt?"

Wrong! When there are pictures, we don't really read the articles.

I wonder if the "babe" took Hillary into account when she decided to do that shot?

That is a good question. There have been many people who have crossed her and wound up 6 feet under.

I'm like you, in that boobs are okay (of course!), but in reference to the one in post#29, she's obviously a fake. Amazing how those women don't know or care how plastic they look. (Note to all women - accept what God gave you. I always do).

I echo what someone else has said - to me the women used on that site are third stringers, leftovers for the porno spammers.

Then again, referring to my image post, they don't have more hair under their navels than I do.

Press Release - March 3, 2003

TIE A STRIP OF DUCT TAPE ('round the old oak tree)
Song released in support of "Duct Tape Across America" peace campaign

Punk-rock recording artists Piggi have recorded a new version of the 1970s pop hit "Tie A Yellow Ribbon," in support of www.f*ckthewar.com's "DUCT TAPE ACROSS AMERICA" peace campaign.

Entitled "Tie A Strip Of Duct Tape ('round the old oak tree)," the song is a sardonic reply to "yellow ribbon" campaigns in support of military action.

"Duct Tape Across America" is a campaign urging anti-war activists to prominently place strips of duct tape in public places to visibly highlight the absurdity of the Bush administration's ineffectual recommendations for "homeland security."

Piggi are a group based in Detroit, Michigan. The band has granted permission for unrestricted reproduction of the song's lyrics. The band can be reached for interviews and comment via their publicity agency, OrwellMedia, at david@orwellmedia.com.

(Lyrics reproduced below).

TIE A STRIP OF DUCT TAPE ('ROUND THE OLD OAK TREE)
(To the tune of "Tie A Yellow Ribbon")
As recorded by Piggi for www.f*ckthewar.com.

Verse:
Poison gas can make us blind
And suitcase nukes could make us hard to find
Bio terror weapons could give us all some bad disease
Seems the only thing that can save us is duct tape around our trees
Duct tape around our trees

Chorus:
So tie a strip of duct tape 'round the old oak tree
Do it in the name of homeland security
That little strip of duct tape is what keeps the US free
And lets us bomb Iraq with complete immunity

Verse:
Saw george bush on TV today
Seems Saddam Hussein just won't go away
Won't let Iraq become a U.S. colony
So now we have to start a war in the name of peace
In the name of peace

Chorus:
So tie a strip of duct tape 'round the old oak tree
It'll keep us safe from WOMDs
As we bomb Iraq to get the oil to fuel our SUVs
We'll be safe because of all the tape around our old oak trees.

Verse:
As the white house spins its web of lies
And hundreds of thousands of Iraqis die,
America stands proud and strong, the country of the free
And to think we owe it all to duct tape around our trees
Duct tape around our trees

Chorus:
So tie a strip of duct tape 'round the old oak tree
It'll keep us safe from WOMDs
As we bomb Iraq to get the oil to fuel our SUVs
We'll be safe because of all the tape around our old oak trees.

These women are most probably just strippers paid $200 each to pose. They have no idea what the calender is all about, and couldn't care less.

A Chickenhawk Thanksgiving in Baghdad

By David B. Livingstone, AlterNet
November 28, 2003

Oh, what a Thanksgiving party it was.

George Walker Bush, President of the United States of America, flew into Baghdad International Airport under cover of darkness, accompanied only by his usual retinue of mainstream press syncophants, to spend two hours mouthing platitudes and getting his picture taken in the company of 600 hand-picked military personnel.

Oh, yeah, I'm SURE those pictures will make people want to vote for someone besides Bush. /sarcasm

If I gave it a second thought, I would wonder where the hell these people get these ideas!
