WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- An Oklahoma congressman is so upset over a subway ad for legalized marijuana he wants to cut the federal government's annual payment to the Metro system.

Change the Climate Inc. has been using public service advertising space on the Metro since 2001, the Washington Post reported Wednesday, but it was the latest round of advertising, this fall that drew the ire of Rep. Ernest J. Istook Jr., R-Okla.

Groceries are legal.

Try promoting the legalization of child porn the way MrLeRoy (in his various disguises) promotes the legalization of drugs.

Day after day post articles that favor the legality of child porn. Post articles on NAMBLA. Argue again and again that the feds have no business interfering. Proclaim repeatedly that viewing child porn harms no one.

Sooner or later, people are going to think you're actually promoting it.

I understand you think it's funny. But this ad is, among other things, promoting the use of marijuana.

So I'll ask again, do you encourage people to do recreational drugs and do you see nothing wrong with advertisements that do the same?

I do not encourage people to do recreational drugs.

The ads are a way to get folks to think about the issue of drug controls - I can not possibly have an objection to that.

I am hereby announcing a tie for Hypocrite of the Month (leaves me room for 11 more) for not denouncing an ad which clearly promotes marijuana use. To the two who say they do not promote or encourage drug use, yet stay mute when others do:

headsonpikes and MrLeRoy.

Hypocrite, my *ss!

I have mever taken the position that points of view I disagree with should not be able to advertise!

How can I possibly have an objection?
