FLANDREAU, S.D. (AP) -- Rep. Bill Janklow was traveling 71 mph in a 55 mph zone when he ran a stop sign and drove into the path of a motorcyclist, a state trooper testified yesterday at the congressman's manslaughter trial.

Yeah right a diabetic reaction....Every time I see this guy he has a can of Coca Cola ( not diet) in his hand...IF he is diabetic he shouldn't be drinking regular sugared drinks at all....I don't care whether he was drunk, diabetic, or just arrogant he killed a man...

If he had a diabetic reaction I would think he'd mention it to the cops on the scene. Did he? Did he look dazed like he was in a coma? Or did he miraculously fix that before talking to the cops?

If he's diabetic, and out of control enough to black out, he had no business driving. Period. I think his slime-ball lawyers are using a diabetes excuse to get their client off. He's guilty of manslaughter at the very least.
