The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is calling for an on-air apology... This will continue until the leftists -- including the sexual polymorph advocates -- achieve their goal of making "hate speech" illegal. At that point, they won't ask for an apology; they'll just call for prosecution. It's already happened in Canada...

" I believe the Koran says you can enslave your non-Muslim enemies; I heard this if anyone can validate. " Yes. And killing non-muslims is encouraged, unless they are "people of the Book" (Jews and Christians), in which case their lives are to be spared IF they pay a weekly bribe (called a "djidjia")to the muslim authorities (in my wife's native Morocco, this was done every Thursday).
There are lots of ignorant people out there (including people with PhD's), who say that muslims did not persecute Jews or Christians. According to these ignorant folk (mostly dreamy liberals), having someone come to your house every week and threaten you with "Cash, Conversion or de-Capitation" doesn't qualify as "persecution."

As all Freepers know, media bias is a pretty strong force. Maybe Muslims denouncing the behavior simply is not news worthy. I have read in FR posts about a Saudi cleric (!) saying "We have created a monster" and similar. They do show up from time to time.
I think the inability to actually define factions may be an issue. Sunni, Shiite, Sufi, Wahabbi, what are the brand names of Islam?

" I saw a post on FR just today where a Muslim leader said that there are two brands of Islam; one which embraces violence as means to an end and pursues a mindless fundamentalism. The other is more peaceful. These forms of Islam are at war around the world." Isn't that sufficient condemnation?
It certainly isn't. If Baptists were planting bombs in the parking lots of mosques, and Billy Graham was praising it and calling for more while saying muslims eat the livers of Christian children as part of their Ramadan feasting, then other Baptists would be expected to specifically name, condemn and openly excommunicate Rev Graham, and demand that he be banned from every Baptist pulpit in the world.
If it is true that Hooper is in fact somehow enraged about memorials to suicide-killers in Ramallah, or the vile Jew-hating filth of the Arab press, then let me say that he is far too inarticulate to serve in his current post, claiming to "represent" the muslims community in the US.

Too bad for CAIR that historical evidence indicates Islam is the ideology of murdering dogs. A destroyer of cultures since its vile beginnings.

Paul Harvey should turn it around and ask Hooper to send him a tape apologizing for the hate and violence encouraged by so many FULLY-ACCREDITED imams in the world, and explaining how the religious leaders of the muslims of Palestine and Saudi Arabia are abysmally ignorant of their own Koran do not speak for anyone but themselves.
Unfortunately, Hooper wouldn't do it because Hooper is not a serious man.

" I saw a post on FR just today where a Muslim leader said that there are two brands of Islam; one which embraces violence as means to an end and pursues a mindless fundamentalism. The other is more peaceful. These forms of Islam are at war around the world" So how come nobody knows where the battlefields are?

Dear CAIR,
I hereby apologize because Islam encourages the random murder and killing of peoples of the Christian and Jewish faiths. I also am sorry that you towel headed rat-b*st*rds think that killing infants and the elderly is justified becaus you haven't had a decent military in over 700 years.
Sincerely,
Paul Harvey

(If the UN left New York and the Demorats left D.C. forever, would that qualify as the 2nd coming?)

"Instead of saying Islam "encourages killing," perhaps Mr. Harvey should have said, "Islam encourages serial killing."
I think Mass Murder might be more appropriate

"These forms of Islam are at war around the world" I'm sorry, but this BS has my blood pressure up. If 98% of the muslims are opposed to religious mayhem and butchery, why is the vast majority so ineffective in putting the violence-preaching people out? Hasn't Allah given them any strength at all?
To: Little Ray
As all Freepers know, media bias is a pretty strong force. That is a very valid point. At the risk of seeming like a tin-foil hat type, the ultimate goals of the more extreme left (of which the media is often a powerful and sometimes unwitting tool), can only be achieved through a complete upheaval of the existing order. It is in their best interest to foment chaos in every aspect of the current structure. If people can be convinced that there are fundamental problems with the existing order, they will be more receptive to radical changes.

"From the time of Mohammed, the means of Muslim expansion was always the sword. Muslim thought divides the world into two spheres, the Abode of Islam and the Abode of War. Christianityand for that matter any other non-Muslim religionhas no abode. Christians and Jews can be tolerated within a Muslim state under Muslim rule. But, in traditional Islam, Christian and Jewish states must be destroyed and their lands conquered. When Mohammed was waging war against Mecca in the seventh century, Christianity was the dominant religion of power and wealth. As the faith of the Roman Empire, it spanned the entire Mediterranean, including the Middle East, where it was born."From "The Real History of the Crusades" linked in post 45.
Couldn't be any clearer.

You're right, and you're also right when you know that it's wishful thinking.

My wife and I stopped listening to Paul Harvey last year because of his strong promotion of feminism. I am curious to know in what ways Paul Harvey has promoted feminism. Thanks.
