[history]
As Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger pushes a plan to put before voters two initiatives - a $15 billion bond and a spending cap - to fix the state's budget crisis, the state's Democrats are showing they have yet to understand the clear message of California voters: No new taxes. Had the public wanted tax increases to fix a problem caused by overspending, they would have voted differently in October.

Do we know what a 15 billion bond over 30 years costs? Everyone of these pols/ actors, etc (excluding McClintock) NEVER want to face the problem head on & make the people who allow this out-of-control spending pay for their sins but rather make their children pay it. See why soon the new bumper stickers will be "Don't blame me - I voted for McClintock"

Just think, if they do nothing, by June the State will be bankrupt and will have to cut spending as long as the RINOcrats don't raise taxes...
I know.

I feel really sorry for CA. I thought they were getting at the very least a fiscal conservative. He turns out to be a total RINO, even fiscally. What happened to the real Terimnator image and cutting the size of the govt with a sledge-hammer. Bond issue now translates to tax increases in the future. CA will officially become a third world country if it floats a bond issue to run the government. This is the best time to gut the government. I feel really sorry for California.

"Republicans have proposed a plan to borrow as much as $15 billion, and repay it over 30 years."
30 years from now California will be under Mexican control and they'll be saying, "We ain't paying this bond because we didn't authorize it!"
