Flu Vaccine Makers Are Out Of The Vaccine
Shep Smith just announced on a Fox News Alert that both makers of the flu vaccine have announced that they are out of the vaccine.
Demand this year has been five time greater than in previous years.
Please add to this story/thread as the news comes in. Thanks.
that makes so much sense seeing how 11 CHILDREN have DIED from the flu....yep, lets take care of the seniors first.....geez......
I will tell you why this shortage is happening....last year or the year before there was a long delay in getting the vaccine to health care workers...the people in and among the sickest people in the country....
we couldn't get any vaccines at all.....but the govt. made sure it had its national forest and park people vaccinnated weeks before nurses could get vaccinated...
the govt should have an orderly distribution system where the vaccines go FIRST to the people on the front lines, then the sickly, the very young and the elderly, and not to some guy collecting tickets at a national park....
imagine the same sort of ridiculous allocation happened this year as well...
Influenza virus infects the cells that line the breathing tubes.
if there's enough virus, or if your immune response to the infection is strong enough, those cells get destroyed, along with the adjacent lung tissue.
The end stage of that process is fluid leaking from the damaged tissue into normal lung, causing inability to oxygenate the blood and death.
Central planning does not work.
Ever.
SARS will come back. It's just a question of time.
We know that it came into the human population from wild Civet Cats in China. There are many wild animals in the food marketplaces of China, and in these marketplaces 7 out of 10 workers have anti-bodies for SARS.
The last outbreak of SARS primarily affected Chinese people of Western Chinese origin - whether they were actually in Western China or they were in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore or Toronto. It seems that this strain favored the Western Chinese.
SARS will return, since the wild Civet Cats have returned to these bazaars after being banned for a short time. It's only a question of time before this disease has a second shot at infecting the human population.
How it spreads from animals to humans:
Many wild animals are slaughtered in Chinese markets daily. After a time, the offal begins to smell bad and they spray it off the sidewalks with high pressure "Power Washers". This creates mist and droplets of fluid which disperse in the air, and is subsequently breathed in by people in the vicinity.
This practice was stopped for a brief time during the SARS outbreak and shortly after, but has now resumed.
Any references for the above statement?. The Toronto Star gave info on most of the deaths and most were not even from Asia. The only HLA link I saw was a paper long on theory and short on data (the sample size was small, used patients from Taiwan where the published data is VERY suspect, and could only get a significant number y looking for subsets and the larger population failed to yield a significant number0.
Important to note that the information states that deaths in children are about where they should be for this time of the year.
Not sure what to think about this Russia story, just have to keep our eyes on it.
If one critter is outlawed and people stop selling them, then the price for them will go up,as they'll be considered a delicacy and someone will then start selling again to make the big money.
Even the legal international trade in wildlife, both live and dead, has dangers,as does anything
Once something's outlawed,it will move to the underground market where there're even more dangers because the dealers are completely unscrupulous.Anything for a buck.
I sure wouldn't have put a smile behind it if it wasn't meant friendly,it could have been nothing or something else.I also would have worded it differently.
Good morning. :)
I can't seem to find anything better in my mind.Simple truth and a smile didn't come out as well as I'd have wished in this case.:o)
