"White" is me among my Cuban in-laws in Miami. While there are lots of natural blond-haired and blue-eyed Cuban guys (like the Mrs.' grandfather), the way I talk and walk and comb my hair shouts "Americano!" That's white.
The look is kind of cool. Cuban girls love it (not that I worry about that anymore).

The left is just frustrated because the white people have not balkanized in the USA. They have not fragmented like the race baiters would have found useful.

They can't play the ethnic groups against each other if they refuse to fight each other. This leaves the left with just banning all European history and culture.

Sounds a lot better than the HS a relative of mine finally escaped. A gang of minorities kept trying to see how many white boys they could beat during the course of a semester and the school refused to do anything about it, even after his best friend suffered perm. brain damage from a beating. If you were white, you had to travel with the others you could watch each other's backs.

LOL...mixed what? I'm pretty much the same combination. I had a club in school called the European Colonial Society. I started it because I was in an all black school that had no clue what curry powder or cricket was. Ask someone what 'white' means and you'll get a thousand different answers. Same thing with black.

In all seriousness, "multiculturalism" or "diversity" is more dangerous to America than most realize. The left is trying to use a bunch of small groups (that are all competing for more power) to divide and conquer America. I say that America already has a culture that is distinctly American. Those who immigrate to this country don't do so because they have hopes of recreating what they just left behind - why would they? The immigrants of generations ago moved here, learned the language, learned the pledge, and adjusted to American life. They succeeded by adopting American freedom, inventiveness, and opportunity. My wife and her family moved here from Germany 15 years ago. She was put into school and was accompanied by a translator fot two weeks. After that, she was on here on. I'm proud to say that you'd have a hard time telling her or her family from any other Americans. They started a business, drive an SUV, got a dog, and set about life in God Blessed America. I say when in America do as the Americans do. United We Stand......

Sounds familiar, right? Consider the following:

Black students gather around an African Unity student group table. One boy wears a belt buckle adorned with the familiar sihouette of the African continent, overpainted with a tricolor of yellow, black and green. His shirt says, "It's a Black Thing, You Wouldn't Understand..."

Not too outlandish, right? Run of the mill, actually.

But let's say that in face of this, white students rush up, distraught. They angrily confront the group over the choice of their symbols and slogans. They take issue with their divisive literature. Larger boys stand around menacingly, their arms crossed in front. Some even shout --it looks like violence could explode.

An worried administrator arrives to try to keep a lid on things. He attempts to calm the angry white students, but later it is clear that his ire is directed at the blacks; he wants them to stop what they're doing, and he's going to make sure that happens.

"Your clothes and the things you're saying --don't you realize you're causing a DISRUPTION?"

Well, now, how likely is this reaction? Have you ever seen this kind of scenario? Well, of course it's completely over the top --it might have happened 35 years ago, but now it wouldn't happen in a million years.

You see the hyprocrisy, right? You do see that this is unsustainable?

The real question or problem is “WHY DO THEY HAVE MULTICULTURAL RALLIES, AND ETHNIC GROUPS?” WE ARE ALL AMERICANS. If they think their ethnic group is so great, why are they here? People use to come to America and adapt our culture, now they come here for the money only and could care less. THIS IS A NATIONAL DISGRACE. I agree completely, as long as that "diversity" is democratically chosen.

However, the concept of "diversity" is not part of our present civic "religion," enshrined just this summer as a "constitutionally" sanctioned value, because the American electorate has been clamoring for it for the past five decades (Ever hear in an election campaign in the past few decades someone ask "I wanna ask Candidate Smith this question: when am I going to get to live next door to some Somalis?????").

No, it's been imposed on us from "above" by unelected bureaucratic, academic, media and judicial elites. As such, it is a totalitarian ideology, not a democratic one. And the fact that it is an undemocratically imposed "value" overrides all the benefits (like cricket playing in NY parks) that you can postulate.

i basically agree with what you are saying. i was using quotation marks and caps to differentiate "DIVERSITY" (the totalitarian version) from diversity (the english language word.
