Yassin: Jewish state could be established in Europe
Jerusalem Post ^ | Dec. 8, 2003 | KHALED ABU TOAMEH

Posted on 12/08/2003 9:19:07 AM PST by yonif

Hamas founder and spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin has told a German magazine that a Jewish state could be established in Europe.

In interview excerpts slated for publication on Monday in 'Der Spiegel,' Yassin opposed a two-state solution in which a Palestinian state would coexist next to Israel.

"That would not work," he said. "The Israelis claim 80 percent of the territory and will only let us have 20 percent. It would only be an interim solution."

Asked if there was no place at all for a Jewish state, he said, "They could set up a state in Europe." Yassin also rejected the Geneva Accord, which was hammered out between non-government Israeli and Palestinian representatives.

"That plan is worse than the Oslo one, because it abandons the right of return for the refugees," he said.

Arafat's sholder patch has always identified the entire state of israel as Palestinian territory.

How about the palestinians getting lebanon as was the original intent? It seems the Palestinians could easily get a piece of France. I have seen enough stuff citing that the modern Palestinans are more a political fiction tool than a valid argument.

The only way this will be settled is by complete and total victory for one side.

yes, I imagine that the Jews in Israel are just jumping over each other to go BACK to europe. Didn't go over so well any of the other times jews were there.

Personally, you couldn't pay me enough to live in Europe. There is enough anti-semitism right here in the US to make me occasionaly uncomfortable. I don't think I could stand it over there.

I tired of this garbage. I think the Jews need to take off the gloves and do what the Palestinians and Arabs do, covert destruction of the enemy, but never ever take credit.

Indeed. It's quite unbelievable hearing it being spewed by a Christian, when our saviour himself is a Jew. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me.

I am personally surprised the US government continues to pay this with its aid to the Palestinian Authority each year.

Wow, good idea! Though in reverse. Why not make a Palestinian state in Europe? After all, the Israelis DO control 80+% of the land. Why are the landowners the ones who should be relocated to Europe? Relocate the Palestinians, says I. If France and the like believe so strongly that the Palestinians should have their own state, then they ought to be willing to carve out a piece of their own territory to provide that land. It'd only be fair.

Why not make a Palestinian state in Europe?

And call it "France".

As an American I can say boldly, "I don't care." Israel has made its own problem by letting Arafat in the country. They continued down the path of self destruction by allowing him to become "important." Now they have negotiated with a known terrorist leader giving him and his merry band of followers creditability and worst of all, LAND CONCESSIONS. Cease fire after cease fire still has not sunk into the Israelis head. DON'T NEGOTIATE.

The U.S. needs to take off the leash we put on Israel. Tell them to do what seems right in their own eyes. They know exactly what the Arabs will do and think about every possible action or policy Israel will implement. It's time for Isreal to sink or swim. They know the American people are behind them, politically, militaryly, and economically.

The British Mandate (which was created after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire during World War I) was supposed to be divided into Arab (Palestinian) and Jewish sections. It was. One part became Jordan and (a smaller) part became Israel. Lebanon with in the French Mandate, I think, and was never designated as an ethnic homeland for anybody. It was supposed to be a mixed community (of Christians, Moslems, and others), and operated that way for decades until Syria backed the Moslems in a civil war that basically destroyed the Christian communities there.

The British mandate was just one more effort to try to resolve a problem that goes back to Joshua and his conquest of this land for Israel and God.

The best solution is to offer individual Palestinians to setup their own state elsewhere in the world - and well fund them to do so. Instead of giving them 10,000 for each of their children who will kill themselves by killing Israelis lets give them 10,000 and more for resettlign in a new place far away from Israel - but a wonderful place a place where they will have all the natural resources and climate they need to live and prosper as a separate people. Let the UN do something like this by encouraging a country somewhere in the world to dedicate land for this purpose and giving that country all kinds of great incentives to do so.

Maybe Putin could give the Palistinians the so-called jewish homeland Stalin decreed: Yevreysk, just west of Khabarovsk. It'd work well, the souhern border would be the Amur river (China on the other bank) and the northern border could be fenced in tho' mother nature would probably suffice..

No, I think it is only fitting that a separate Jewish state be carved out of Germany. Now, wouldn't that be a hoot?
