US RE-ISSUES TERRORIST STAMP

By Tom Barrett ConservativeTruth.org

We are at the beginning of what some would call the Christian "holy month" - the month leading up to the day we celebrate as the day of Jesus* birth. We will celebrate by giving to the poor, making extra efforts to be kind to others, and remembering the great sacrifice Jesus made for the world. Muslims have just completed the celebration of their "holy month" of Ramadan. They celebrated by increasing the violence and terrorist attacks against Jews and Christians to ever higher levels.

I personally disagree with the concept of a Christian "holy month". The Bible says that every day is holy unto the Lord. Besides, the best scholarly research shows that Jesus was probably born in the summer. All that aside, even Christians-in-name-only - people who call themselves Christians because their parents were, but don*t attend church except at Christmas - tend to be kinder and more giving as Christmas approaches.

In stark contrast, Muslims worldwide used the "holy month" month (it should be called the "UNholy month") of Ramadan to escalate the reign of terror they have released upon the world community. Throughout the month there have been calls for more killing, more bombings, issued by Muslim leaders, INCLUDING THEIR CLERGY. Muslims have been recruited from all over the world to kill US soldiers in Iraq during Ramadan.

Please don*t give me that tired old argument that all Muslims are not terrorists. Even Forest Gump knows that. There are some very nice Muslims. Some wouldn*t hurt a fly. But the fact is that even the nice Muslims support terrorism.

They support terrorism by giving hundreds of millions of dollars to Muslim "charities" (all of it tax-deductible) that PAY HOMICIDE BOMBERS to murder Jews and Christians.

More important, they support terrorism by allowing their Mullahs & Imams (their version of preachers) to preach death and hate toward all infidels (that*s you and me, in case you didn*t know).

You don*t think their "holy men" would do such things - What planet do you live on? Such preaching of violence is so widespread that even the liberal press has been shamed into reporting it. In Pakistan and Afghanistan and Iran and dozens of other Muslim countries, even people who don?t go to religious services can*t escape the hated spewed by their "ministers." LOUDSPEAKERS mounted outside their mosques blare forth calls for "holy war" and "jihad" against all infidels (that*s you and me, folks), compliments of the Muslim clergy.

The worst part is that the same stuff is going on right here in the good old US of A. Oh, they*re more subtle here. They don*t use outdoor loudspeakers. But if you were willing to risk your life going into many mosques here in America wearing a wire, you could come out with tapes of calls to violence and murder that would scare most Americans into action.

Our President is a good man, but he is very na~ve when it comes to the Muslim threat. He has repeated the lie that the word Islam means "peace" so many times that he probably believes it himself. As we have reported in previous articles (and as you could find out with just a little research instead of listening to the garbage the media feeds you), the word Islam actually means "submission."

The Muslim religion is a violent, bloody religion.

Throughout the ages, their idea of converting infidels has been to give them one chance to convert, then cut their heads off. Mohammed himself personally murdered hundreds of infidels, including infants. This is historical fact.

Today, Muslim religious leaders lead ceremonies in which various body parts are removed for minor infractions. They still condone beheading for more serious things, like a woman showing her face in public. You don*t believe that? What short memories we have. Less than two years ago the Mullahs chopped of the heads of several dozen women in the national soccer stadium in Afghanistan. Peaceful religion, indeed.

Their stated goal is the same as Hitler*s was. (Perhaps that is why Germany and Iraq had such a cozy relationship while Saddam was in power.) They believe that Islam is destined to rule the world. They do not want to peacefully coexist with us. They want to rule us. Want proof? Just look at all the attempts Israel has made over the last fifty years to peacefully coexist with its Muslim neighbors. The answer has always been the same. "Death to all Jews."

"We will push you into the sea." "No Jew filth will be left to pollute our holy land." Yet Bush insists that "Islam means peace"!

In response to an email about the Muslim holiday stamp, one well-meaning person wrote the following: "Christ set an example of tolerance and acceptance. Christ taught of loving thy neighbor. Christ taught of feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and clothing the naked" he did not call them names and denigrate them. He embraced them and earned their respect."

This man was well-meaning, but ignorant of much of the Scripture that does not support his contentions. "Tolerance and acceptance" - He neither tolerated nor accepted the money changers when he drove them out of the Temple with a whip. "He did not call names and denigrate them." How about when he called the religious leaders of His day "hypocrites" and likened them to whitewashed graves" He didn*t care about "earning their respect." He told the truth, and didn*t care one bit whether His listeners liked it!

Well, here*s some truth our politicians won*t like even a little bit. The reissuing of a US postage stamp commemorating a Muslim religious holiday (EID) which celebrates the end of Ramadan was a dumb move that has infuriated millions of Americans. The stamp was first issued in September, 2001 just ten days before the World Trade Center bombings. By that time good old short-memory America had already forgotten the thousands of Americans murdered by Muslim terrorists in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, Pan Am 103, the Marine barracks in Lebanon, the military barracks in Saudi Arabia, the American Embassies in Africa, and the bombing of the USS Cole (to name just a few).

Prior to 911 many Americans were buying the "Islam means Peace" lie and the first printing of the stamp went pretty much unnoticed. But to re-issue the stamp in post-911 America is a slap in the face to the family members of the thousands who died because Muslims thought it was "holy" to kill them. And I*m not the only one who thinks so. Just one of the dozens of Internet polls on the subject asks that very question. When I checked the results earlier today 22,500 had responded. By a margin of almost three to one, Americans felt that re-issuing the stamp was a "slap in the face" of those bereaved families.

Instead of understanding and honoring the grief of these families, the United States Postal Service has decided to re-issue with a commemorative first class holiday postage stamp that honors EID Muslim holiday. At the same time liberal politicians and judges are working overtime to remove any vestige of the religion upon which this nation was founded from public life. From removing any reference to God in our schools, to removing "Under God" from the pledge, to removing the Ten Commandments and nativity scenes from public property, these vicious people will not be satisfied until it is illegal to utter God*s Name in public.

As I write this there is a movement forming to remove Christmas as a national holiday! And in its place they choose to honor a religion whose stated goal is the destruction of America and all that it stands for!

Americans are banding together to vocally boycott this stamp at our Post Offices. Boycott leaders are encouraging patriots to not only refuse to buy the stamps, but to SPEAK OUT at the Post Office against this stupidity. That sounds terribly intolerant, doesn*t it?

How about a deal, Muslims? We*ll promise to be more "tolerant" if you stop killing us! Sounds fair to me.

I have no problem with the U.S. issuing Muslim stamps...provided that Muslim countries issue Christian and Jewish holiday stamps as well.

Until such time, there's no way in hell I'm going to tolerate this Ramadan rubbish.

America should not issue Muslim stamps. That is political correctness run amok. America is a Christian country with a Christian heritage. I don't see Saudi Arabia issuing Christian stamps. In fact, Christianity is illegal in Saudi Arabia.

At this current place and time, I am inclined to agree.

America is a Christian country with a Christian heritage.

We do have a Christian heritage, but we're not a Christian nation per se. Ours is not a theocracy, nor does it have an official religion. The government of the United States does not promote or prohibit any legitimate faith. This is all part & parcel with the First Amendment. (And before anyone asks, no, I do NOT agree with the ACLU's idiocy in having all religious references banned from all public places. We have freedom OF religion; not freedom FROM religion.)

I don't see Saudi Arabia issuing Christian stamps. In fact, Christianity is illegal in Saudi Arabia.

That is a large gripe, and certainly one I share.

The Eid stamp first came out in late August 2001, just a few weeks before the attack on the WTC. Supposedly the stamp was meant to ingratiate with all those Moslems who don't want to eradicate our way of life .... both of them. Since WTC it continues to come out to coincide with Ramadan.

Muslims declared war on US over 10 years ago. Islam's goal is to take over the world--by our deaths, by our conversion to Islam and by our paying the special tax for non-Muslims. There is no other choice in Islam. We are being foolish to honor these people and their holidays.

If anything resembles a Christian Holy Month, it's Lent before Easter, not any garbage in December.

And God (Allah?) forbid that the US Postal Service actually give stamps to groups that want them. Anyone pissed about the Hanukkah stamps? No?

What about the "end breast cancer" stamps? Or the 9-11 victims' fund stamps?

Get a grip, people.

Actually we have far more than a Christian Heritage. The American Revolution was a Christian revolution as opposed to the French Revolution which was secular - one of the reasons France causes a lot of problems in the world today. Our revolution was based upon the belief that our rights were given to us by God himself and they cannot be taken away - in addition our Republic is supposed to be sort of a Christian Fraternity. Well, a lot of that has been forgotten now, but still the base remains.

Time for France to have a new revolution and rejoin us.

I would like to point out that this stamp depicts the destruction of the Twin Towers in an abstract form. Look at the two vertical strokes (the towers) with debris falling around them. How can anyone not see it?

Much like the islamic calendar which showed an airliner crashing into NYC and the Sadaam mural which depicted an airliner crashing into a building; this stamp released 10 days before 9-11 predicts the WTC attacks.

Uhh, someone who isn't desperately trying to see it won't see it.

It's Arabic calligraphy, not a picture.

Oh I forgot. If you read the name of stamp right to left (Arabic style), it says "Die." That is why some people call it the "Die" stamp.

"Eid" is simply the transliteration of the sound of the Arabic word into English. Once it's transliterated you don't read it backwards. Eid has been called Eid for hundreds of years, it wasn't a word chosen for the stamp.

You really need to get out more.

Out of curiousity, are you one of those people that thinks Procter & Gamble is a satanist company because of their logo?

>It's Arabic calligraphy, not a picture.

People bring this up every time. Calligraphy IS NOT printing. In calligraphy the artist can take letters and form almost any design. Especially using something like Arabic script. Look at some examples of Victorian or Russian calligraphy which use less adaptable alphabets. Even there is can get pretty wild.

This artist chose to depict 2 towers with his stamp design and overshadow it with the word "Die."

U.S. Postal Stamp Issued in Observance of Eid

By William B. Reinckens, Washington File Correspondent

U.S. Postal Stamp issued in observance of Eid

Washington -- Most U.S. postal stamps bear the pictures of late presidents, statesmen, sports figures, wildlife scenes, inventors and one even bears the word, LOVE. In Washington, on November 13, a beautifully simple stamp done in calligraphy recognizes Eid, celebrated by millions of Muslim Americans annually.

In announcing the "Eid Mubarak" stamp, the U.S. Postal Service noted that the 33-cent stamp commemorates the two most important festivals or eids in the Islamic calendar. Eid al-Adha marks the end of the hajj, the annual period designated for Muslims to make their pilgrimage to Mecca. Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the Ramadan fast.

The stamp, which is gracefully executed in gold against a blue background, is reminiscent of many great works of Islamic calligraphy.

Designed by calligrapher Mohamed Zakariya, the Eid stamp features the Arabic phrase "Eid mubarak" which translates as "blessed festival," and can be paraphrased, "May your religious holiday be blessed."

This year, the U.S. Postal Service honored three U.S. holidays with stamps -- Eid, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

"U.S. postage stamps are a reflection of the American experience," said Postmaster General William Henderson, and "inspiring subjects and designs continue to bring history to life."

In November 1999, Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, California, and Thomas M. Davis, Virginia, introduced legislation that a U.S. postage stamp should be issued recognizing the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The resolution noted that there are more than "five million practicing Muslims in the United States, who represent one of the fastest growing segments of American society."

The proposed legislation noted that "those who follow the Islamic faith are a diverse community comprised of all races, colors, and political opinions, who make important and valuable contributions to American society and culture."

The lawmakers noted that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are the three monotheistic religions of the world and that Jewish and Christian holidays have been recognized on U.S. postage stamps but "no Islamic observance is similarly commemorated."

The muslims now have a day all to themselves, Sept 11.
