Terrorism in Virginia.

Terrorism in Virginia.

John Allen Muhammed and Lee Boyd Malvo, the DC sniper murderers, have been described in many ways by people who wish to de-emphasize the pair's motives. It is about time they are recognized for what they are, Islamic terrorists.

Malvo's lawyers are trying to make Malvo out as a confused young kid who was led astray by an older man (who may have also been his lover), and that he was not responsible for his crimes. To convince Malvo's jury of his legal incompetence, his lawyers have entered Malvo's sketches and writings into the record. Apparently, they are hoping that the ordinary people on Malvo's jury will be unable to understand the motivations of radical Islam, and will believe Malvo's insanity bid.

This is an astounding long shot, and I doubt Malvo's jurors will buy it. So does Malvo. Malvo's pictures illustrate the depth of his hatred for America, whites, and himself. They idolize his "father", Muhammed, as a jihadi warrior, but Malvo clearly believes very strongly in Islam. He sees himself as a warrior against our culture and every other race.

Because I doubt the press will be advertising the fact that Malvo was motivated by his self-identification as an Islamic terrorist, I am providing a few of Malvo's more illuminating illustrations. There are dozens and dozens of these crude drawings, and you can find all of Malvo's drawings here.

Please note, there is some extremely objectionable language in these drawings and they contain violent images.

This one informs us, "Welcome to the new war. You are not safe, anywhere at anytime." Note the redaction apparently done by Malvo's defense team.Malvo 7 (W.H.-resized).jpg Thanks for the warning, Malvo. Let me return the favor.

"Welcome to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Malvo. You won't be leaving. Ever."

Here, Malvo displays some of his thoughts on Osama bin Laden (pictured center with rifle). Note the redaction in the first one: Malvo 16 (resized).jpgMalvo 10 (Osama- resized).jpg

Malvo here presents what I presume to be a picture of his "daddy", equipped in full military gear and on his way to murder defenseless shoppers from a distance. Note the redaction of what appears to be a label for the figure's sidearm: Malvo 01 (resized).jpg

Finally, although there are numbers of offensive images, you'd think a person who is about to spend the rest of his life overseen by police officers would be more careful about releasing a picture like this: Malvo 2 (resized).jpg

I strongly encourage you to look at the rest. They are labelled "DF Exhibit #65-001" through "DF Exhibit #65-134".

Just think of the thousands of other militant Muslim arabs, blacks, and mexicans in our cities who think the same way this kid does.

And we were told originally that there was no connection to terrorists. Then we were told no connection to Bin Laden.

Differing spelling or not, I still think "L(ike) A D(uck) I(n a) N(oose" = LADIN. Their infatuation with him certainly makes it more likely.

You happen to notice the ranges at which these two worked from? A little more than the average handgun is required, but very reasonable countersniper fire could have been returned by a handgun-equipped shooter. That might or might not have tagged the sniper de jour but likely would have seriously interfered with thewir accuracy, and would have given police a well-marked vehicle to search for instead of Chief Moose's fictional white van.

Greetings from Fairfax Co. Virginia

That might or might not have tagged the sniper de jour
Very likely ... shooting a large four-door automobile at 100 yards is a rather easier task than shooting a man.

but likely would have seriously interfered with their accuracy,
Highly unlikely ... these terrorists exercised superb fire discipline: one shot per target, regardless of effect. Any return fire by armed citizens (Virginia is a shall issue state, Maryland is a may fuggedaboudit issue state) would by definition come after the first and only shot from the terrorists. Even in Virginia, no armed citizen spotted the blue impala and fired on it.

Of course, we were all looking at white vans per the "info" from that asshole Moose.

Kid kinda had talent with a pencil. Nobody told him the real jihadis don't like people drawing things, or anything else that might be considered offensive to the camel prophet (which is pretty much everything).

reasonable countersniper fire could have been returned by a handgun-equipped shooter.

In one of the interrogation transcripts (located at the same Fairfax County web site as the pictures, above), Malvo claims the Home Depot shooting in Falls Church was from "132 yards." The Manassas shooting was also from across the street, in that case a 4-lane state highway, probably 100 yards or so. Both shootings were at night.

Given those distances, I don't think anyone would have known where to return fire.

The Home Depot is nearby, and I've checked that site. There is no way on earth that any person with a handgun - especially in the HD parking lot - could have returned fire on Malvo's position. It was far away, it was dark, and he was well-concealed.

BTW, is was pretty clear from the get-go that they had shot from the school parking lot across Route 50 (there was a big thread about this for a few days after the shooting). And it was completely bizarre that the police didn't clear that area of the dozens of reporters and TV broadcast trucks milling around. They were tromping and driving all over the crime scene for nearly 48 hours (I vividly recall the live Fox and CNN video taken from that very parking lot). It was a full two days before the police began to search that specific area.

In the end, all of those "witnesses" who saw the shooter in the HD parking lot were either lying or completely wrong.

And I wonder whether Malvo himself was a "witness" for the police, since he claims he spent substantial time at the crime scene after the shooting, and he seemed to have no problem talking to police, as he describes in the Manassas events.
