CA: Governor again cancels fund-raiser

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger canceled a Sacramento fund-raiser for the second time Monday in a move that critics believe was prompted by their plans to protest the event.

Spokeswoman Margita Thompson said the governor postponed the fund-raiser at the Sheraton Grand, which was to be hosted by Stockton developer Alex Spanos, because of ongoing budget talks with lawmakers.

Was there ever a poltician who even kept his campaign promises? I doubt it.

Here's their info page.

The 4th hyperlink down is titled "Holding Politicians Accountable". It would appear that their interest has more to do with their preception that a camapign promise was broken than the fundrasing event itself.

Yeah, I guess that could steretch to fit, but I wonder how many grants and things they apply for based on their start as what appeared to be a consumer advocacy group... sure sounds like bait and switch to me...
