Comparing Iraq to Afghanistan is comparing apples to oranges. In Afghanistan we won with a local coalition of forces and there was a way to set up a governing body quickly. In Iraq everyone who was a threat to the former government was pretty much dead. No indigenous organizations other then the Shiite Mulahs to turn power over to. It's insane to argue we should have rashly turned things over to them. We governed Japan and Germany for 5 years and they had more intact societies then Iraq. We have no patience as a people and that will be our downfall.

Afghanistan is far away from Iraq as France from Poland. And also Iraq has different mentality. Anyhow, as of patience, I don't know, it seems to me that 60's has created bunch of sissies (no offence to those who served in Vietnam, and hold to their conservative believe), what I mean by it, It's seem we have a problem on our hand; many say time is money, I would say, time is your judgment and patience is great virtue.
