I would support more than santions if they dont comply with the above.

I'd add a subtle reminder that any bomb murders in Russia (such as yesterday's incident in Moscow) that are traceable to one of Syria's supported terrorist groups are likely to result in a visit from some old friends who used to work for the KGB. Young Mr. Assad may not remember them personally but his staff certainly will.

They are a terrorist state with a terrorist government. We should not give them audience and we should close our embassy while we are at it as well.
