Afer living in Dallas for 3 years, my Georgia accent has morphed into a Texas one, and I've picked up the habit of saying "si" instead of yes.

I still have to translate sometimes for my husband (poor fella's from Massachusetts, and still doens't understand what over yonder means).

And you know, the pity is, yonder is a legitimate English word and a pretty one too. There is nothing at all hick-ish about using it.
