As usual, Dr. Walter Williams has nailed it. The Constitution as written has been turned on its head by a Supreme Court which believes that the Constitution belongs to the Court, not the other way around.

If I remember correctly from Civics classes and American History, it is not the Supreme Court that makes law, but Congress.

Somewhere along the way we forgot that.

Were Madison to be nominated for a seat on the federal bench in 2003, the more feminine of my two NY Senators would label him "an extremist".
