"quick of lip, and quick of temper and stubborn."

That could go for most of the Democrats anyway and especially the crabby MS Clinton.

If hillary is not drafted at the convention[which I believe she will be]look for her to get in the race 59 days or less from election day.

Reason:The cfr is has been uphels and no ads can be taken out against her.

What if dean gets the nomination and resuses to step aside?

No problem, just add his name to the list that includes Vince Foster, Jim McDougal, Ron Brown, Paul Wellstone, and numerous clinton bodyguards.

In other words, she will do what the clintons do best and Alamo Girl will have a few more names to add to her list.

Personally, I believe that if one looks far enough into al gore's endorsement of dean you will find a clinton.

Reason: Early on gore was told to stay out of the '04 race and keep his mouth shut unless told to speak. That he has done up till now. Granted hillary/bill had cut off his money from the dnc but he stil had the media, Sunday morning talk shows, and the speech making route.

While gore is not genus material [except in his own mind and the media's] he is not altogether stupid. He is also not brave. So, why would he wave a red flag in front of the bull [bill and hillary]knowing what they do to people who tick them off or oppose them? He would not unless he either had permission or was told to do so.

The feeding frenzy is not new, it is just out in the public eye a little more. The background work done to sink Bill Clinton by the Democrats was substantial and should have sparked and interest from the leftist voters but it did not. It was not easy to dig up McDougal and Whitewater and all the rest but the Democrats did it and managed to blame the GOP. Go figure. This will get dirty. I hope Doctor Dean is ready for Arkansas mud. He does not appear to have the thick skin and experience to withstand what will hit the fan. He stepped into the Vermont top job when the sitting Gov. died. My guess is that he will implode

Sharpton, however, denied to MSNBC's "Hardball" that the top Democrat engaged in any Dean trashing. "President Clinton has not talked to me about a battle with the Gore[-Dean] gang. President Clinton and I, as he has with other candidates, talked about how you beat George Bush."

Doesn't anyone else find this hilarious? Why would X42 call Al "Not-A-Snowball's-Chance-In-Hell" Sharpton to talk about how to beat President Bush?

Hmmmm .. maybe this is why Gore looked so bad when he announced his endorsement of Dean He knew he just committed suicide and the Clinton's won't forget it

NOw, I actually think this is just the opposite. I think Gore's endorsement of Dean was orchastrated by the Clinton's. If Bubba is nothing else, he is an amazing politician, and this has his handiwork all over it. Follow me here :

The Goal is to make HILLARY! the savior of the party. Dean is by far the wackiest and the farthest left of all the candidates.

Bubba won twice by making the Morons ..er sheeple .. believe he was a CENTRIST. SO they have Gore endorse Dean, thereby giving him "Credibility" and making him the definate Front-runner. Meanwhile, they harp harp harp against Dean.

Notice what is happening here, HILLARY is now the CENTER compared to Dean. He is Anti-War, she is pushing for more troops. he is way out left wing Whacko, she now looks much much more moderate.

By giving him credibility, Dean has a good chance of getting the nomination. Now here is where it gets interesting.

If all indications are that Bush will win (economy is strong, blah blah blah), then they let Dean get completely CRUSHED -- then Hillary comes riding in saying --see see see we cannot win from the Left. Join me in the Center.

If Bush looks vulnerable, suddenly ALGORE sees the error of his ways and has an epiphany at the Convention --"We must move to the Center, We NEED HILLARY!!!!!!! NOW!"

look for her to get in the race 59 days or less from election day

Is that doable? Is is legal? Don't candidates have to declare very soon?

The Democrat Party is acting like a wild animal with it's foot caught in the "Howard Dean Trap", and now Hillary is attempting to gnaw that foot off.

If the Dean juggernaut is stopped via dirty tricks (and who among us believe that mischief will not be tried) the Democrat party will splinter (exit Dean/Gore wing" and be of no national consequence for a decade.

If I were Dean, I'd rather be kissed by Rappaccini's daughter.

Thank you for the allusion. I hadn't heard of her before. Here's an online copy of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Rappaccini's Daughter.

And ALGORE gets to reprise his role as Vice-Presidential appendage?

You've gotta figure that hillary's broom is in neutral right now, ashtrays are flying and the f-word in full force!Algore just screwed himself without a kiss! The clintons are not going to forget this and it will get ugly for algore. If I didn't dislike him as much as I do, I think I'd almost feel sorry for him.

I just love how Hillary and her goons throw around the term "centrist." They don't get any furthur left than Hillary Clinton. The only difference is that she lies when it suits her purposes to conceal from her stump-dumb audiences that she would institute full-blown communism with her at the top of the hierarchy as absolute dictator if she could get away witrh it. After all, she is the only one who really knows what's good for you.< /sarcasm >

But the way Gore looked is nagging me ... I don't ever think I have seen hom look so bad. which makes me think there is another piece to the puzzle we aren't aware of yet

Recall the election in New Jersey.

The polls showed the democrat candidate losing 59 ,57 or a number of days I can't recall exactly. New Jersey had/has a law stating that a candidate cannot be relpaced a certain nmber of days before an election day. This deadline had already passed. The democrat resigned anyway and was replaced by another democrat who won the election.

The Republicans took the case to court. The court siad that the democrats could do this. The Republicans appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court refused to hear the case.

Recall the Missouri election when just before the election day Mel Cartahan[Sp?]who was running against John Ashcroft for senator andhe was killed when his airplane crashed. The democrats would not take his name off the ballot and by hook or crook, Ashcroft was beat by a dead man. The Governor appointed his widow to take his place.

Paul Wellstone from Minnosota also comes to mind.

No, the democrats have a history of making last minute switches.

The bottom line is, when has a law ever stopped a democrat.

Paul Wellstone

Brown, Foster and McDougal I understand, but I don't understand Wellstone. Any light to shed on the subject?

"No, the democrats have a history of making last minute switches.

1)I feel the same way. She does not want to go into the fighting right now. Then, if she was, the country would really know how lib. she is. This way she can come in as the centrist and not go through all the fighting and posturing.

2)She would save millions of dollars. She would not have to spend a single cent! It could all be saved for next year!
