It's about time we actively begin to protest stores and malls that refuse to use the word "Christmas." This grinchlist.com seems like a good start.

IMO nothing wrong with this. A lot of Jewish faith and others live in this country also.

I was watching Fox and Friends this am and they had Juan Williams on talking about the Gore endorsement. At the end of the conversation Juan said, "Me........Happy Holidays." It was very evident he caut himself being UNPC and changed his mind mid stream.
I thought "how sad".

Do you mean we should not mention Christmas? Or do you mean we should support Grinch.com? Curious.

It's all about sales powered by the fear of offending.

We should say Merry Christmas to celebrate the season. We should protest stores that refuse to even use the word 'Christmas' in their store or say Merry Christmas to customers. The site http//grinchlist.com is keeping a list of stores that do not have the word "Christmas" anywhere in their store. Only "holiday" this and "holiday" that. You can add stores to the list and protest to the stores about their policy.

Ironically, retail sales have been falling since stores stopped celebrating Christmas. Christmas used to be the catalyst for buying. The more you pushed Christmas, the more people bought. The PC stores are shooting themselves in the foot.

yeah, and I am sooooo offended when I see a menorah or any reference at all to Hannukah.
My fragile psyche cannot handle another faith's Holiday, so, it must be censored!

I wouldn't have thought this was a problem at all. I believed retail stores fully and outright support Christmas to earn a lot more publicity and money.
But the Grinch List is nothing I'd full support, actually I'd embrace it, seem as how people don't have to sport the Christian faith if they don't have to. I celebrate Christmas, so what if my neighbour doesn't? I'm not going to jam it down his throat... that's unethical and unconstitutional.

I thought "how sad".I've been thinking that a lot about Juan lately. He used to be one of the liberals I could like at least on a personality level, and he used to act like he had half a clue. But recently when I see him on FOX, he acts as though he lost any amount of intellegence he once had and I sense that those appearing on panels with him feel that Juan has finally gone off the deep end politically.

The malls and stores don't seem the same when 'Christmas' is hidden from all view. Last year I was in Singapore, which is a multicultural society, and the stores there were celebrating Christmas like it used to be celebrated here. The words 'Merry Christmas' were emblazoned on banners outside the stores. At the hotels, the employees smiled at said 'Merry Christmas' to everyone. Even the Muslims and Hindus in Singapore join in the celebration. At the same time, Muslim and Hindu holidays are celebrated openly, too. But, all the island and country celebrates Christmas. It was such a wonderful sight to behold.

I read to a student in the Everyone Wins program. They gave us a hand written screed regarding what was "allowed" to be done around Christmas. Of course Jesus had been purged from his own birthday.
After reading it, I took it back the next week and I told her I was not ragging on her because I know she didn't make the rules. However I fully expected her to report what I had to say to the powers that be. I told her what was on that paper was WRONG. I asked her who was born on Christmas. I also pointed out that in trying to be inclusive of others they were discriminating against Christians and that I RESENT THE HELL OUT OF IT.
Guess what? She agreed with me! But will it change? You guess!

Ironically, retail sales have been falling since stores stopped celebrating ChristmasI remember that Christmas used to bring the "Must Have Toy" such as Tickle Me Elmo, or whatever else would fly off the shelves. How long has it been since that happened? Where is that fly-off-the-shelves toy this year ??

We had a Muslim student at my daughter's school(public) complain about the Christmas Carols. They told him to go sit in the hall if it bothered him.

Ask yourself this: If we are supposed to be celebrating diversity, why not have Jewish and Muslims displays along side the Christmas displays? The reason: They don't sell like Christmas. And people will likely be offended by Muslim displays. Rather than admit that, they just get rid of Christmas. And they convince the stores to cut their own throats.

Jews in this country amount to less than 2-5% ;of the population. No one stops Jews from saying their own cultural/religious greetings if they wish.
