So, to be succinct, Bush is wonderful because he spends too much of our taxes and assumes the positions Democrats would assume.

And they say Clinton had a cult of personality.

...in November of 2004, this particular rightist is going to stand by George W. Bush just as the bumper sticker on my car promises...

This particular rightist is going to stand by him too. And I 'm think of making up my own bumber sticker to read:

Make the World Safe for Terrorists
Elect a Democrat

I have many, many problems with GE Bush -- not the least of which is Campaign FInance Reform and his big spending ways -- but whatever is wrong with W and the Republicans is certainly not going to be fixed by having a Democrat in the White House and Democrats in control of congress.

Excellent post and a good read!

"There are many conservatives out there who could do a better job of slashing outlays, but it is highly unlikely that any of them could get elected by our emotive and squishy electorate."

How true it is.

"We must support him because heady days await and also because his reelection keeps the Democrat Party headless. "

Just that single issue should be enough to bring us ALL together in November.

"I don´t care if you insult him or trade in Karl Rove conspiracy theories, but, in November of 2004, this particular rightist is going to stand by George W. Bush just as the bumper sticker on my car promises. Our hopes for a better tomorrow rest in the White House on his bed. We must support him because heady days await and also because his reelection keeps the Democrat Party headless. Let´s proudly stand by our man as he loudly subsumes the popular positions of the left while promoting many of ours in the shadows though his judges, appointees, and minions."

BUMP

It is my goal to conserve America's wonderful, non-living Constitution,

Then you better not support Bush anymore. Yesterday all the chickens came home to roost.

Federalist Paper 45, James Madison wrote:"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the Federal Government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State Governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will for the most part be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects, which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties and properties of the people; and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State."

I don't want to die at the hands of terrorists, so I'll vote against the DimRATs, but I'm not going to call it a vote for the Constitution trashing, Medicine Socialing, pocket picker for African Dictators, Teddy Kennedy education boondoogle ally, borders wide open, steel tariff imposing, 16% budget increasing, airport deadbeat federalizing, BIG GOVT, Nanny State, low-life enough to use the WOT to hold us hostage, RINO known as Commissar Bush.

Read Walter E. Williams at Jewish World Review.

Bush, the 'RATs, the RINOs, SCOTUS all think they know better than the Founding Fathers, what a bunch of arrogant arseholes!

The Liberal GOP has sold us out list:

Downpayment Aid OK'd for Poor Families(More Income Confiscation, Wealth Redistribution)
Bush aides anger GOP lawmakers on consular Ids(Open Borders for All)
UNESCO Welcomes US, For a Few Dollars More (Undoing Reagan)
$15b Sought to Fight AIDS(Bribes for African Dictators)
Lay off Arafat, Powell tells Israel(Double standard terrorism enablers)
Steel Tariffs Cost Jobs(Free trade party? Ha!)
The Sky’s the Limit: Medicare’s Upwardly Mobile Drug Cost Projections(Socialized Medicine, HillaryCare Lite)
Estrada withdraws name from court consideration(no support from GOP Senators)
'Bush totally against scrapping H1-B visas'
'Open Fields' bill would pay farmers to open lands to public use

He brings in moderate voters the way my old Erie Dearie lures used to bag walleyes .

It's a strategy. One the libertarians, ultra conservatives, non-logicons refuse to accept. Bush would be re-elected regardless if he kissed Kennedy's butt because the Democratic party is split in half becuause of Howard Dean. The strategy is to shake an image that shows Republicans are mean spirited selfish rich people. Shaking that image by appealling to the moderate voter will help him but it's the Senate races that he intends to affect. The ultimate goal here in this strategy is 60 Senators.

Can anyone telling me why the benefit of 60 Republican Senators outweighs the liberal gesture by George Bush?

I've sttod pretty solidly behind W, but the recent Grover Norquist buisness depresses me as it makes Bush look about as stupid as so many of his detractors have claimed. And when I contrast what our military forces are doing afield with this coddling of Islamists, that appears to even still be going on, it just sortta makes me feel ill.

Not much of choice: bad (Bush) or worse (any Democrat except Zell Miller).
Bush has done okay in Iraq and I appreciate the tax cut, but, bloated budgets, amnesty for illegal aliens, support for the Assault Weapon Ban, CFR, the Wrinkled Citizen Drug Benefit, Education and Farm Bills, and so many other things stick in my craw. "Stealing issues" from Democrats makes you a Democrat...
I'll vote Bush over just about any Democrat, but, if there were a primary, I'd vote for his opponent.

Bush is just like Nixon and his Daddy - a social liberal - if anyone has any doubts just look at his policies. At this rate there are many conservatives who will vote for dems or not vote at all if he doesnt start standing up for conservtive values.
