i don't think you can compare a medical necessity to a stupid toy fad. The toy manufacturers INTENTIONALLY make less so they can jack prices.
And there is something in every business called Profit and Loss...you have to lose some money to make money. I seriously doubt that each drug company would make less vaccines in fear that they would lose millions of dollars. They would actually make more and try to sell them for less to get a bigger share of the market.
This is rightfully blamed on the Clintons, not some PR gag.

The real story is that doctors gave the shot to regular adults, instead of just the seniors and children it was produced for. Manu's and other groups advised doctors to give regular adults prescriptions for the nasal spray.
The doctors ignored this and gave it out ASAP, so as to not get stuck holding the bag. They simply never expected the rush and ran out.
