Yep, spammers should be tied to a chair and beaten with a stick. I just spent many hours clearing a homepage hijacker for FastSearch CC. Not easy, Adaware or Spybot wouldn't kill it, nor would Norton Anti-Virus 2004. I finally had to use all of the above, along with Hijack This! and CWS Shredder to wipe it off my system.
I too just spent hours dealing with Fastsearch.cc (homepage hijacker) and I thought I'd share with anyone who cares, the culprit's contact info. I sent a note to their media relations person, their ISP abuse address, and every email address I could find at the company.
Seems to be a 'reputable company' too, with this 'fastsearch' as a sub company or product that they clearly don't want to be affiliated with. Oh, and it seems that they recently came close to bankruptcy, heh, heh!
