There are times when Matthews can act rather reasonable, but throughout the entire day, he was making some of the most ignorant comments I've ever heard him make. He was being rude to Peggy Noonan and even a couple liberal guests he had. He was actually upset that Gephardt preferred to have Saddam tried by a jury that had the death penalty option available. That's when he went on about an International Tribunal as he started taking swipes at Reagan.
As others pointed out the recent complicity by France, Germany and Russia in supplying Saddam with materials as late as 2003, he starts bringing up things that happened over 20 years ago. Heck, earlier today Tom Brokaw was actually talking about the possible ties between Saddam and AQ...yet when Matthews commented on Saddam's capture, he completely dismissed any ties to international terrorism and threat to the USA. The desperation is becoming obvious.

Noticed the same. Chris is one of the few Dems I actually pay attention to, but tonight he was off stride. I got tired of him phrasing loooong statements inside his questions. Peg kept trying to answer him, and kept getting interrupted by the question she was attempting to respond too.
OMG she is hot :)
