Offer a deal, huh?  Okay, here's the deal.  If Saddam tells us what we want to know about the WMD, then he gets a quick execution (firing squad, hanging, gas chamber, lethal injection.)  If he doesn't, then he should first be hung by the neck.  Not dropped so his neck snapped, but suspended so he could dance for awhile.  He should be taken down before he dies and then revived.  Then he should be disemboweled while conscious.  After that, he should be drawn and quartered; that is, four horses should slowly pull his legs and arms off his torso leaving his nerve endings exposed to the air.  Then he should be allowed to scream himself to death.  And I think we should be able to view this on pay-per-view cable television.

That is fantastic news. The memo will be used to spook all kinds of rats. Kinda funny how rats of various sorts have memos show up at inopportune times isn't it?

Are you sure he[John Demjanjuk} was sentenced to death in Israel in 1988?

See for example this article. Sentenced to death in April 1988. Released by the Israeli Supreme Court in 1993 after new evidence cast doubt on his identity as "Ivan the Terrible". However, once again stripped of US citizenship in 2002.

Saddam may well take the deal. I'll say one thing about the coward - he's got one helluva sense of self-preservation.
