Amazing: no mention by the "journalist" in this story of PERHAPS Clinton's political motives in the bombing...he was facing impeachment, remember?
Also, no mention of Republicans accusing him of using the military to divert attention. Gosh....I wonder what has changed in 5 years...OH WAIT! I remember!! We finally BEAT Saddam Hussein and a conservative is President!! No wonder the press is so hostile to G.W. Bush now!!
Is it any wonder, friends, that I'm a
Recovering_Democrat?
To: Recovering_Democrat
No wonder at all!
Thanks for the memories!

You seeeeeee?
Dems are tough on terror, too.
"But once more, the United States has proven that although we are never eager to use force, when we must act in America's vital interests, we will do so."
When I must act...

What a difference five years and a change of leadership (or in this case, getting a LEADER in the White House, PERIOD) makes! One thing certainly hasn't changed, though: The way CNN actually 'reports' the news, along with their electronic and print counterparts-save for Fox and the Washington Times.
...And congratulations on being a 'Recovering Democrat'. I went one step further: I became a Republican.

Diane Sawyer sure tried to paint Bush in a corner on this subject tonight, but with one word GWB shut her up. When she qouted David Kay saying "We have not yet found WMD Stockpiles" GWB interupted with a stern loud voice "YET"

Bush must have travelled in a time machine back to '98, cleverly disguised himself as a "top security advisor" in the Clinton administration and convinced Clinton that Saddam had WMD's.
Man W. really IS sneaky!

...Ever notice how the Media 'Rats love to pull out the long knives and the Interrogator Activating Device when interviewing Conservatives and Republicans? Several years ago on the Today show, Matt Lauer used this very same tatic while interviewing the president. Meanwhile, when interviewing Liberals and Democrats, it's almost like watching two dear old friends chatting over coffee or a martini during Happy Hour.

Welcome to the side of light my friend:) and what a great article you have dug up from the reign of terror.
So why was it alright for the stain meister to go on a bombing campaign in iraq because of the suspected WMD,but President Bush is sooooooo wrong? Oh democrat thy name is hypocrisy.

Our congressman called me that night, said he was gathering support to press on with the impeachment voting.
He voted for all four counts, of which two passed.
No Democrat ever questioned Clinton's motives for attacking Iraq.
No Democrat failed to attack Bush for actually freeing Iraq.
The Traitor Party evinces all the stunning robotics of Stalin's New Soviet Man, Eric Hoffer's True Believer, George Orwell's Newthink.

Remember how the Democrats in the House argued that the House should not consider impeachment while the bombing was going on? Remember how, even though the excuse for the timing of the bombing was to get it done before Ramadan started, the bombing continued a day or two into Ramadan, but stopped just as soon as the House had finished voting for impeachment? (Some British bombers, on a bombing run to Iraq at the time, had to be called back.)
To: PhilDragoo
"Along with Prime Minister (Tony) Blair of Great Britain, I made it equally clear that if Saddam failed to cooperate fully we would be prepared to act without delay, diplomacy or warning," Clinton said. how can he be so unilateralist.

That sign should be posted every time Howard 'The Duck' Dean or any of the other Loser Nine (or at least in this case, Liberman gets it right for a change) blows into town. Just put Dean's face between the donkey's ears for effect.
