I recall being in Alburquerque in the mid-90s, when the 'sandelistas' were marching on one side of the street w/signs bemoaning the poor "Japanese victims of capitalist aggression"... On the other side of the street were some stooped, aging vets -- NM has the largest contingent of Bataan Death March survivors -- carryings signs that read "two bombs weren't enough." Of the two groups, which do you suppose had actually experienced Japanese hospitality long term, and at close hand?
