I wish I had found it and used it on the original post. It really goes well with the poem or by itself.

We've had dogs and cats most of our lives ~ we're down to four (MadMax, CoCo, Curly and FastEddie) cats at this time ~ they keep us on out toes. :)

Thanks for the ping, Texas Girl!
Great poem, CG!
I've had many dogs, but the only ones I've ever loved the next morning had fur and four legs.

Great post, CG!
Say, if anyone is interested, visit www.whitehouse.gov for "Barney Reloaded", the newest Christmas video from the younger Bush pup. Spot cameos.

"I love to hear a Redbone and a BlueTick or two on a coon trail." As an old coon hunter, the best coon dog, in my opinion, is a mix of Redbone, Bluetick and Walker.
Redbone for the nose, Bluetick for the intelligence and Walker for the stamina.
To: TexasCowboy
Thanks. I prefer 4 legged dogs to the other kind. I try to avoid the other kind.

I had to write and post Barney further down. I was getting threats from the Vast Short Dog Conspiracy crowd.

I know how to take a hint and even to thank the hint giver. I had to write one for Barney too under pressure from his huge fan base.
I sent Spotty's poem to the White House. I only wish the President had time to see it.
Thanks for making me let out how I felt.

There is one photo I absolutely love of the President sitting at the desk in the Oval Office, reaching down to touch Spotty's head. Maybe a FReeper who recalls the photo and knows where it can be linked to these days will link it here.

Spotty has been by the President's side for nearly 15 years, now. She is virtually his shadow, and the bond between them is very touching.
